Process Overview

Data Digital and Global Marketing provides technology solutions for Retail, Preferred & Small Business lines of business through Reference Data Systems, Analytics & Business Intel, offer management, Client & Account Data, Customer Data Management platforms and processes. The job involves executing marketing campaigns for various consumer products. The technologies used in this process are SAS, SQL, Teradata, Hadoop and, Unix as file Landing environment.

Job Description


Candidate must possess strong SAS data retrieval/ manipulation/load skills. Specific tasks include importing data from various formats (e.g., csv, txt, xls) and sources (e.g., Teradata, Hadoop, Oracle, SQL Server, DB2), Combine or filter files into one or more SAS data sets, retrieving data from a number of sources, appending/merging data, updating/inserting, filtering data, exporting data, and similar functions. Demonstrated experience with developing and manipulating the following SAS Tools/Procedures: Advanced data step, Input, output, Join, Informat, Deduplicate, Proc Contents, Freq, Tabulate, Univariate Proc SQL, and well versed in SAS Macros. Excellent communication skills and result orientation are also important. Should process strong Unix and sql skills.

Responsibilities

The candidate in this role will be working as an individual contributor and design, involve in Campaign executions for the Consumers in the Banking Domain environment. The daily job activities would involve:

  • Translate detailed business requirements into SAS code for new program development. Identify and create effective audit checks to validate accuracy of data. Perform Data Migrations & generate audit reports using SAS. Modify existing SAS programs with requested changes. Identify appropriate audit checks and provide audit materials for review and signoff. Complete data exploration and address any data anomalies, gaps or issues. Perform population sizing based on business requirements. Create and maintain standard documentation (comments in code, detailed workflows documenting program). Identify and implement automation improvements SAS Dataset Import/Export.
  • Ability to support, triage and troubleshoot issues.
  • Provide technical solutions and ability to learn new technology to fulfill the project needs and implement.
  • Proactively track tasks to closure.
  • Participate/Communicate/Host calls independently related to projects.
  • Identify process risk proactively and implement process improvement ideas.

Requirements


Education

  • Graduation / Post Graduation: BE/B. Tech/MCA

Certifications If Any:

  • SAS certification (good to have)

Experience Range


  • 5 to 8 Years

Foundational Skills

  • SAS Programming, SAS SQL, Teradata Programming.
  • Good working knowledge in Unix/Linux and Shell Scripting.
  • Autosys job scheduling.
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft product.

  • Exposure and knowledge in Python programming is an added advantage.

  • Prior experience in marketing technology including campaign creation, lead generation and incentive based offers
