Process Overview

GCIBT comprises of technology for Commercial, Corporate and Investment Banking Customers of Bank of America across the globe. The team works closely with the business and strategic partners to architect, design and develop applications for the Global Wholesale Banking Line of Business.

Job Description


The individual will be responsible to Design/Develop, Enhance, Debug, Support, Test and Maintain software applications that support business units or supporting functions using technologies like Java, Micro-services, Spring, Angular, SOAP, REST, Unix, database (RDBMS & No SQL), Maven, Jenkins, Ansible and Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift). He / She will also be responsible for defining or adopting architectural best practices for Data Quality leveraging past technology experience.

Responsibilities

  • Translate business requirements into technical requirements
  • Knowledge on Containerization and Micro Services Architecture
  • Must have the ability to work independently
  • Must possess analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent oral , written communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills
  • Self-driven personality rather than being told what to do
  • Work closely with business and technical teams to build requirements, design, and business analysis
  • Support work flow management by identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Look for opportunities on Efficiency improvement / Productivity Savings
  • Drive and live by the culture of innovation resulting in highly efficient teams looking to improve operational efficiency
  • Interpret business requirements and translate them into design solutions
  • Conduct coding, Unit Testing and Component Integration Testing and interact with business partners for testing sign off
  • Create and maintain system, functional and reference documentation
  • Investigate processes to determine the optimal method to implement changes while minimizing impact to existing systems
  • Act as liaison for vendor and company communication

Foundational skills

Java Full Stack Developer with knowledge / exposure on micro service and Containerization

Desired skills

Java 17+, Micro-services, Spring, Angular, SOAP, REST, Unix, database (RDBMS & No SQL), Maven, Jenkins, Ansible and Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)
