Process Overview:

The Consumer Credit Strategy Analyst will be responsible for the model development, design, and overall stakeholder engagement associated with Consumer and Small Business Credit Strategies. The position requires being able to manage simultaneous complex analytics and translating results into meaningful output.

The analyst will use analytical tools for development of models used in Acquisition strategies. Responsibilities include oversight of internally developed models - including documentation, ongoing monitoring, and Required Action Items (RAI) that Model Risk Management requires. In addition, the analyst will have the opportunities to manage projects across the Strategy areas with exposure to business partners and senior leadership, such as engaging with modeling team for credit risk model development. Partnering with Risk Governance to set up appropriate performance guardrails for new accounts and monitoring is also required.

Job Description

The analyst will use quantitative methods to drive targeted results and is responsible for maintaining appropriate credit strategy controls. Strong analytical skills are required with extensive experience manipulating large data sets using SQL and SAS. This role also requires the development of data analysis to understand strategy performance and drive strategy enhancements.

Responsibilities:

Experienced analytical professional to join our team as a strategy analyst. In this role, you will be responsible for several key areas:

  • Ability to work independently as a self-starter.
  • Strong communication (oral, written) and organizational skills; must exhibit a high attention to detail and strong writing ability along with proven experience of telling a story with data.
  • Oversight of model development and documentation, on-going monitoring, and RAI's for models developed by the team .
  • Manage model related inquiries across Acquisition Strategy areas with exposure to business partners and senior leadership, such as validating performance of models and evaluting Required Action Items from MRM.
  • Proven analytical ability and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated through 10+ years related professional work experience
  • 10+ years' experience using database software and analytical tools, such as SAS, SQL to access large databases
  • Strong working knowledge of the process and tools used for development, validation, implementation and documentation of credit risk and/or marketing business strategies and/or models
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
  • Be a team player and a thoughtful risk-taker
  • Ability to communicate effectively and influence others to drive results
  • Effective project management and organizational skills; ability to collaborate, manage, and expand relationships across the organization

Requirements:

Education / Certification:

  • Advanced degree, preferably in Computer Sciences, Engineering from a premier institute
  • Technical certifications in SAS, SQL preferred

Experience:

  • Demonstrated through 10+ years related professional work experience
  • 10+ years of relevant experience using SAS, SQL in data analytics
  • U.S financial services experience preferable
  • Understanding of consumer products domain preferable

Foundational Skills:

  • The candidate must have intermediate to advanced knowledge of SAS and SQL.
  • Demonstrated experience with a Business Intelligence tool, preferably Tableau.
  • Candidate must have a proven track record of building and deploying analytical solutions that have resulted in material financial results.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment is critical.
  • Must have exceptional analytical, organizational, and communications skills.

Desired Skills:

  • Prior strategy development experience.

Work Timings: 12:30PM to 9:30PM (IST); 2:00AM to 11:00AM (US EST)
