Process Overview

Global Banking and Markets Technology provides end-to-end technology solutions for Global Markets businesses including Equities, Prime Brokerage, Interest Rates, Currencies, Commodities, Derivatives and Structured Products. Across all these products, solutions include architecture, design, development, change management, implementation and support using various enterprise technologies. In addition, GMT&O provides Sales, Electronic Trading, Trade Work Flow, Pricing, Market Risk, Middle office, Collateral Management, Credit Risk, Post-trade confirmation, Settlement and Client service processes for Trading, Capital Markets, and Wealth Management businesses

Job Description:

The Strategic Full Reval Capability (SFRC) technology team is responsible for developing risk solutions to meet enterprise-wide regulatory requirements. The primary focus of the team is on building scalable risk generation for use cases across Global Markets. End users include trading desks, senior trading management, market risk management, Global Risk Analytics and Finance groups. SFRC technology is a global team of highly skilled and motivated developers using agile methods to iterate quickly and work closely with users to deliver superior trading risk technology.

This job is responsible for testing and delivering complex software requirements to accomplish business outcomes, ensuring the testing strategy and processes are well-defined and continuously improved. Key responsibilities include establishing a test and automation strategy, creating common test frameworks, defining and managing test processes including test data generation, defect management and reporting. Job expectations include understanding and implementing internal/external mandate, ensuring compliance requirements are met on all levels of test environments, and manages traceability.

Successful candidate is expected to have in-depth knowledge of Global Markets Products and direct experience in Trading and Market Risk domains and is able to bridge gap between on-shore business expectation and off-shore performance and delivery.

Responsibilities:

Oversee production stability

Liaise with MAPS team for all SFRC batches to ensure consistency across use cases

Evaluation and prioritization with development team on resolving production errors

Manage metrics and tracking of issues - understanding the drivers behind instability and impacts on SLA

Developing roadmap for remediation and continued stability

Oversee releases for SFRC platform

Communications with Remote Risk release team

Provide justification for releases

Manage LoB train dependency

Review regression material to sign off releases

Oversee SFRC QA functions

Creates and optimizes test processes including defect management and reporting

Creates and optimizes test automation frameworks and use of test automation tools

Leads test planning for complex features that span across the platform or multiple teams

Creates a test automation strategy across the application stack (UI, API, and Backend, etc.)

Ensures alignment and sign off for test cases from business and other stakeholders

Manages test execution and resolves, communicates or escalates any issues that may result in test plan variance

Designs test data and ensure data compliance requirements are met on all levels of test environments

Management tasks

Liaise with project managers and development leads on ensuring BAU items are integrated and prioritized within the project teams

General team integration tasks, such as permission and DG for new team members

Liaise with SFRC PMO on deliverables/epics updates

Liaise with SFRC PMO on status reporting requirements for steering committee or monthly accomplishments and status

Remediate issues escalated by the SFRC Operations team members and other dev raised issues for projects

Requirements

Education: BE/B Tech/MCA

Certifications if any: NA

Experience Range: 14 to 18 years

Foundational skills

  • A strong experience working on python based global markets application.
  • Strong financial quantitative skills, experience leveraging Quat libraries in python based application for risk and price calculations
  • Quantitative Pricing and Risk analytics of cross asset in markets space like Rates products, FX, Credit, commodities, equities etc.
  • 10+ years of experience managing delivery pipeline, resolve technical dependencies in a complex environment
  • Candidate should be hands and able to functionally lead QA, Release management, production stability teams
  • 5+ years of Business Analysis in global markets space
  • 5+ years of Delivery management in global markets space
  • SQL, No SQL DB, Data analytics, strong Excel
  • Strong unit test and debugging skills.
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools

Desired skills:

  • Track record of delivering in Distributed systems environment.
  • Financial Services Industry experience
  • Experience developing Global markets applications.
  • Led programs delivery.
