Job Description:

This job is responsible for testing and delivering complex software to accomplish business outcomes. The job establishes testing scope and coordinates test execution. Key responsibilities of the job include overseeing testing practices ensuring that software is tested to meet functional, non-functional and compliance requirements, conditioning and generating test data, building and executing both manual and automated test suites, recording and communicating the test results, triage defects, and ensuring regression test suites are maintained and well designed.

Position Summary:

This is a QA Testing position in Bank of America's Erica, Chat, and Voice Technology organization. The tester will work side by side with development and business partners to determine optimal test coverage and ensure high quality software is delivered to our customers. They will be responsible for planning, executing, and managing the testing effort for a variety of projects across multiple lines of business and technology platforms. The tester is expected to learn the business and technical components of an application to appropriately communicate risk and status to senior project management and executives. Work with their peers across the organization to drive test efficiencies, improve frameworks, and enhance the enterprise testing process. Responsibilities:

  • Develops detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test cases based on functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements
  • Leads test planning, usually at a team level. When part of a Scrum team, ensure stories are well refined and contain clear acceptance criteria
  • Leads test case reviews and work with subject matter experts and stakeholders to ensure test coverage
  • Identifies automation opportunities and develop test automation for applicable test types
  • Executes test cases, including manual and automated tests, and record test results
  • Designs test data and ensure data compliance requirements are met on all levels of test environments
  • Uses testing tools and follow processes to complete testing on a given test environment, and perform necessary steps required to promote code base to higher level environments

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of proven software testing experience.
  • Strong experience within the Agile Methodology.
  • Quick learner and self starter who requires minimal supervision to excel in a dynamic environment.
  • Deep understanding of the software development and QA life cycle processes (including test planning, test case design, execution, defect tracking and reporting).
  • Strong knowledge of tools such as HP ALM/Quality Center, JIRA, Octane.
  • Proven ability to work on testing projects of all sizes.
  • Prior experience driving issue resolutions with development Excellent written and verbal communication skills interact across all levels from junior members to senior management.
  • Analyze data to identify areas for improvement in the quality system.
  • Adaptive, flexible and comfortable working in a matrix environment as a Sr. team member or an individual contributor.
  • Prior experience in Automation testing. (QTP/Selenium/TOSCA/Cyara)
  • Korean is required.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Domain knowledge of banking and financial applications.
  • Bachelors' Degree in Computer Science.
