The Market Risk Technology team within Risk and Finance Technology consists of extremely talented individuals, who implement multiple complex programs as well as drive and build out industry leading strategic platforms and processes that provide solutions to provide market risk management globally.

We are looking for looking for a talented and highly motivated Product Owner -Tech Delivery, who can lead key deliveries for the program. The right candidate will help deliver new functionality to support Market Risk Limits management and reporting

Position Summary:

Enterprise Risk & Finance Technology's Market Risk Technology team is searching for a talented, seasoned and highly motivated Product Owner . Programs focus on building out a strategic platform that leverages standardized inputs and calculations across markets, risk and finance. This is a multiyear effort in a business-critical domain. The Global Markets Risk function provides independent risk oversight of all activities giving rise to price risk, interest rate risk and counterparty credit risk at Bank of America and is the primary risk oversight function for the Global Markets business line.

Responsibilities :

  • Responsible for maximizing the value for a product. Defines the vision and roadmap for the product, defining and prioritizing stories in the product backlog, and articulating this to both stakeholders and the development team.
  • Works closely with stakeholders to understand their needs, and with the Product Manager in a scaled Agile model to ensure there is alignment.
  • Possess a working knowledge of the product, and basic understanding of the business or technology domain.
  • With some guidance, creates the vision and roadmap for the product to align with strategic direction for the business or technology domain.
  • Communicates the product vision and roadmap to stakeholders and the team. Collaborates with stakeholders to understand their needs and problems.
  • Creates and prioritizes work for one team. Learning to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • With some guidance, creates and prioritizes stories in the product backlog.
  • Refines stories with the team to ensure there are enough ready stories to load the next 1-2 sprints.
  • Reviews and accepts stories and is empowered to make on-the-spot decisions on scope and requirements.
  • Works in partnership with the team to ensure that optimum value is obtained through technology and through an advanced understanding of the business.
  • Individual contributor.

Required Qualifications :

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of applicable experience.
  • Understand business requirements and lead analysis and translation into technical requirements including budgeting and technical documentation
  • Review technical designs with the development team and ensure it meets the business partner requirements and is a scalable solution to meet longer term strategy
  • Key contributor in Agile routines including sprint and capacity planning, prioritizing tasks for releases, back-log maintenance
  • Review initial testing/analysis of implementation/results to ensure the accuracy of implementation
  • Ability to work with GMR business partners and development and QA teams on planning and prioritization including capacity constraints
  • Provide support for business partners in required user acceptance testing
  • Identify and manage cross project or functional interdependencies
  • Deliver timely and accurate weekly status reports on projects
  • Identify success metrics and review performance with business partners and leadership

Desired Qualifications :

  • Strong Market Risk, Risk or Front Office experience
  • Strong financial products knowledge
  • Prior experience of working with Limits and management reporting
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and experience in analyzing large volumes of financial data
  • Ability to effectively communicate within a multi-disciplined team and demanding business users
  • Good organization skills with efficient follow-ups & driving conclusions
  • Experience with SDLC and agile methodologies
  • Excellent technical skills in SQL, Excel, VBA. Python is a plus
  • Computer Engineering/ Financial degree
  • High level understanding of BAC Enterprise Change Standards is a plus

Pay and benefits information

Pay range

$89,200.00 - $154,900.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
