Job Description:
This job is responsible for providing advanced end-to-end operational support for securities, loans, exchange traded derivatives and over the counter derivatives across multiple lines of business, and cross-business functional support through the lifecycle of a trade.

Key responsibilities include ensuring trading and operational activities are completed accurately and before deadlines, researching and resolving complex issues, and simplifying client interactions.

Job expectations include being customer oriented and data driven, while focusing on continuous improvement.

This role directly faces off with trading desk to provide daily support of trading activity.

This role also faces off with Global Economic Sanctions / Sanctions Screening counterparts for scanning of instrument and issuer reference data for OFAC and other global economic sanctions.

Responsibilities:

  • Subject Matter Expert for financial instrument reference data across multiple platforms.
  • This candidate must be able to provide guidance and direction on daily activity and escalations to management and the members of the team globally.
  • Candidate must offer premium client service to internal BofA business partners/client relationships, handling client escalations and managing to deepen those relationships and have holistic understand of the front to back impact for the life cycle of a trade.
  • You will be accountable to provide consistently high level of data reconciliation, achieved by continual research, comparing and cleansing of product data versus various vendor sources and internal databases.
  • Develop and implement plans to adapt and comply with market changes, key initiatives, regulatory changes within the product space.
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements and risk mitigation, establish requirements for changes and work with technology partners to implement solutions.
  • You will be the main point of contact for business partners/clients on all operational issues and will act as advocate to ensure clients' needs are met.
  • Ensure cohesive relationships with and manage Global Business Solutions partners in India.
  • Candidate must be self-starter, working independently to assess processes and risks and develop strategic solutions to improve operations.
  • Provides operational support for one or more activities within the lifecycle of a trade, including trade processing, trade settlement, accounting and reconciliation, lifecycle events, and collateral management
  • Provides simplified client interactions and deepens client relationships across Global Banking and Markets' clients
  • Completes accurate, timely clearing and settlement of trades with internal and external counterparties including reconciliation management and governance of trade fails and breaks
  • Performs tasks accurately during high volume periods in a team environment
  • Improves and simplifies the client experience, reducing manual touchpoints
  • Supports the implementation of new processes to improve the overall business operating model
  • Identifies and flags potential risks in a timely manner
  • Resolution and escalation of financial instrument data discrepancies and challenges
  • Oversight of partner team in India, ensuring day to day instrument setup and maintenance is completed accurately and client requests are met within the established SLA
  • Acquire and continuously develop in depth knowledge of products and processes
  • Provide excellent client service to internal business partners and serve as primary point of contact
  • Liaise with technology, internal business partners and vendors to identify and resolve root cause of problems and devise solutions for enhanced efficiency and risk mitigation
  • Accountable for ad hoc projects for new processes or industry initiatives
  • Breaks investigation and resolution

  • Previous experience within an operations role
  • Knowledge of Operational Risk and financial instrument products
  • Analytical and intellectually curious with problem solving skills
  • Possess strong desktop skills in Excel
