Location Overview:

Based in the 8th arrondissement and within the Parisian Golden Triangle, our beautiful Art-Deco era office benefits from luxury modern workspaces, an abundance of natural light and is easily accessible by public transport.

Role Description:

The Banking Operations team is recruiting for an Operations Analyst to join our dynamic team in Paris. We are a team of 7, with a diverse skillset and a mentally to be intellectually curious and improve! The role will focus on four main areas; Cheque processing, Bills of exchange processing, Non-Financial Regulatory Reporting (NFRR) and Client account management.

Responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible to complete the local tasks related to the client account management, including opening, closing, recapitalization and incorporation.
  • You will be responsible for the seizures process.
  • You will be responsible for Cheque processing, including Echange Image Cheques (EIC), Unpaid cheques, cheque verification and cheque reconciliation.
  • You will be responsible for Bill of Exchange, including File in clearing integration, Bon A Payer (BAP), rejected LCR / unpaid items and reconciliation and controls.
  • You will be responsible for Non-Financial Regulatory Reporting, including process and project coverage within EMEA NFRR and governance by administering defined procedures, analysis, report generation and exception processing.

What we are looking for:

  • You will have previous banking experience in back or middle office.
  • You will have a proven ability to write procedures, showing a high attention to detail.
  • You will be fluent in French and have written and verbal business fluency in English.
  • You will have experience with MS Office package including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • You will have a history of working in a team with changing priorities, showing flexibility.

Skills that will help (optional):

  • Some legal background would be preferential to be able to understand regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge of other European languages would be an additional advantage.
  • Knowledge of French accounts requirements and / or seizures would be an advantage.
