Responsibilities
Our Global Corporate & Investment Banking business focuses on building long-term relationships with financial institutions and financial sponsors. We provide advisory expertise, debt and equity product expertise to deliver integrated financial solutions. The Financial Institutions Investment Banking Group provides financial and advisory solutions to financial services clients across the globe. The Financial Institutions Group is a leader in the industry, driving landmark transactions for our clients. Our practice has executed some of the largest and most complex financial services transactions in recent years - across a broad industry landscape including depository institutions, specialty and digital finance. As a director, you will be broadly responsible for advising major clients, and handling all aspects of the client relationship including direction, coordination and the execution of various transactions.
- Manage and develop direct resources and activities across the global franchise in order to deliver the Bank's products and services to the client.
- Act as the senior client manager for key clients.
- Originate, build and manage senior client relationships on a day-to-day basis and provide a point of contact.
- Lead groups of bankers that focus in Investment Banking across the regions.
- Demonstrate deep market knowledge of Investment Banking apply this knowledge by generating beneficial ideas for clients, thinking strategically and forecasting client needs.
- Responsible for ensuring the Bank's activities are conducted in a compliant and risk free manner.
- Deliver presentations and advice to clients.
- Originate business and offer all the products the Bank can offer to each client.
- Demonstrate and maintain appropriate detailed sector, regional and technical knowledge.
What we are looking for
- Degree Educated, 2:1 degree (or equivalent) - preferably in a numerical discipline such as economics or finance
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- Strong client relationships, marketing, presentation and sales skills are essential
- Excellent communication skills
- Self-motivated, tenacious and able to work with high degree of independence
- Ability to effectively interact with and the ability to work and communicate effectively with the immediate team, product partners and ultimately bank clients
- Creativity, problem solving skills, flexibility in approach and the ability to work with members of multiple product groups at the same time
- Ability to analyze complex client financial objectives, accounting or tax issues and alternative solutions or approaches
- Strong team player, willing to learn and assume responsibility and be enthusiastic about becoming a member of a successful and growing team
- The ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously & working effectively as an individual & as part of a team
