The Divisional Managed Investment Consultant Analyst will support Financial Advisors and Divisional Managed Investment Consultants on all Merrill Lynch Managed Assets platforms to drive utilization of Managed Asset platforms to optimize usage of IAP to help meet client needs and add scale and efficiency to advisor practices.
The Divisional Managed Investment Consultant Analyst provides advice and guidance to Financial Advisors, Client Associates, and Advisory Leadership to help identify appropriate and suitable IAP (platforms/strategies) for the Firm's clients. Advice and guidance are informed by our Chief Investment Office around portfolio construction, investment/manager selection, asset allocation, and best practices for integrating our managed asset platform into various financial advisor business models.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:
- Advice and guidance is informed by our Chief Investment Office that revolves around portfolio construction, investment/manager selection, asset allocation and best practices for creating a practices centered on investment advisory business.
- The Analyst is focused on supporting the advisors and Divisional Managed Investment Consultants in their respective divisions to drive investment practice chagne through virtual and phone interactions. They should think independently, develop and execute strategies to achieve their growth goals for their respective territories.
- The Analyst shall partner with their coverage team potentially consisting of their Divisional Managed Investment Consultant and other specialists with the Investment Solutions Group to collaborate and bring holistic advice and guidance to their advisors.
- Analysts are expected to record all of their relevant activities in Salesforce.com, a client relationship management tool, in order to provide the data necessary to manage activity from a metrics driven perspective.
Qualifications:
- 2-5+ years' experience in financial services industry
- 5 years sales experience
- Strong analytical skills and portfolio construction expertise
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and meet clearly defined measurements.
- Self-motivated, adaptive, positive attitude and high energy are a must.
- Must display a passion for achieving aggressive goals in innovative and highly professional way.
- Experience with Morningstar analytics and data analytics preferred.
- Knowledge of professionally managed investment products and/or investment advisory business preferred.
- Deep subject matter expertise on the Firm's high-conviction investment offerings, including our Firm Discretionary solutions preferred.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Series 7 and 63/65 or 66 preferred at time of hire or must be able to obtain within 120 days of start date.

Pay and benefits information
Pay range
$63,000.00 - $93,100.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.
Discretionary incentive eligible
This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
