Our Business:

Global Capital Markets originates a wide variety of equity and debt capital offerings, as well as risk management products. When an issuer client decides to raise capital in the public or private markets, corporate and investment bankers turn to the Global Markets team. Global Capital Markets partners with the coverage team and advises clients on optimal methods to access capital, whether for acquisition, refinancing or strengthening their balance sheets. The offerings can comprise equities, bonds, bank debt, private placement, or a combination of securities.

Equity Capital Markets originates, structures, and executes worldwide equity, equity-linked and equity derivatives products on behalf of the firm's global corporate and institutional client base. The equity product suite includes initial public offerings, rights offerings, accelerated placements, convertible bonds, hedging structures, margin loans and structures purchases/disposals.

Responsibilities:

  • Actively contributes to the development and implementation of the overall business and people strategy and Bank of America Values
  • Plays a key role in delivering the Bank of America Advisory Value Proposition in close cooperation with peers in Sector Coverage Teams, Regional Management, and other groups within the Bank
  • Leads all aspects of the client relationship including originating and flawless execution of deals by using fully developed client relationships, business development and/or product advisory responsibilities.
  • Drives origination efforts by identifying new business opportunities and developing long-term strategic and tactical plans specific to a targeted client list, as well as assessing risk and limiting financial loss
  • Delivers presentations and advises major clients by thinking strategically and forecasting client needs
  • Maintains deep client relationships (CEO/CFO/Board) and Institutional Investors, and acts as an ambassador for Bank of America with peer groups and industry bodies

Requirements:

  • You will be a specialist product banker in Korea Equity Capital Markets (ECM) with a deep and proven experience and understanding of the Korea ECM market including origination and execution of landmark transactions
  • Highly collaborative personality, strong team player and ability to communicate effectively with both senior management and business. Articulate and effective communicator, both orally and in writing; with an energetic, charismatic, and approachable style
  • Uncompromising ethics, the ability to listen with an open mind, and the strength and integrity to maintain resolve under pressure
  • You have a clear entrepreneurial mindset, and solution orientation to facilitate positive change throughout the organization
  • You have a Bachelors' degree in a related business discipline with above-average academic grades
  • At least 10 years of work experience in originating and executing equity capital markets transactions in Korea
  • Native Korean language skills
  • A full understanding of and successful track record in Korean ECM products & transactions. This includes the understanding and management of all associated financial and non-financial risks
  • A strong understanding of the Regulatory Environment relevant to Bank of America and its global presence
  • You have proven to be successful in interacting comfortably with senior management (CEO/CFO/Treasurer) and their shareholders, as well as all relevant enablement functions
  • Effective networking and relationship building skills allowing to quickly build trust with senior management (CEO/CFO/Treasurer), their shareholders and the investor community
