Role Summary
Global Credit Operations is responsible for the fulfillment, servicing and protection of credit offerings for business banking, Global Wealth & Investment Management (GWIM), commercial and corporate clients as well as leasing and trade products. The Product Owner owns and maximize the value of strategic Trade Finance products, with a strong focus on AI-enabled solutions that modernize document-heavy, risk-sensitive workflows. You will define the product vision, roadmap, and backlog, and drive delivery from concept to production while partnering closely with business, operations, technology, and data science teams.

This role requires strong domain understanding, comfort operating in ambiguity, and the ability to translate complex trade finance and regulatory needs into scalable, high-impact technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned to the firm's Trade Finance and AI transformation agenda.
  • Translate business, regulatory, and operational needs into clear, prioritized features and user stories that deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Lead backlog management for a dedicated delivery team, ensuring work is sequenced to maximize value, control, and risk reduction.
  • Partner closely with stakeholders across Trade Operations, Risk, Compliance, Technology, and Data/AI to deeply understand problems and define durable solutions.
  • Drive AI use cases (e.g., document intelligence, data extraction, comparisons, human-in-the-loop workflows) from design through delivery.
  • Make real-time decisions on scope, tradeoffs, and requirements to keep delivery moving while protecting strategic intent.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers and other Product Owners in a scaled Agile environment to ensure alignment, dependencies, and consistent execution.
  • Act as the single point of accountability for value realization, ensuring solutions improve efficiency, control, scalability, and user experience.
  • Review, accept, and guide delivered work to ensure it meets business, regulatory, and quality standards.

What Success Looks Like

  • Manual, exception-driven trade processes are reduced through automation and AI-assisted workflows.
  • Stakeholders clearly understand the product direction and trust delivery outcomes.
  • Delivery teams are consistently loaded with high-quality, well-defined work.
  • AI solutions are practical, explainable, and embedded seamlessly into core Trade Finance operations.

Required Experience & Skills

  • 3-5 years of working knowledge of Trade Finance products, document flows, or adjacent financial services operations.
  • 1 year of Product owner experience
  • Ability to operate independently, handle ambiguity, and make judgment calls that balance speed, risk, and value.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate between business, technology, and data teams.
  • Experience working in Agile / scaled Agile environments.

Role Profile

  • Individual contributor with significant autonomy and influence.
  • Hands-on, delivery-oriented, and deeply engaged with both business problems and technical solutions.
  • Accountable for outcomes, not just outputs.
