The Team:

The team is responsible for Compliance & Operational Risk coverage for Global Operations in EMEA. The team operates in a highly technical, fast-changing and dynamic environment with an excellent culture of growth, learning and development. By joining this team, you will gain exposure to colleagues and senior managers in Global Markets (in particular FICC and Equities), Operations, Technology, Risk, Legal and Audit, both within the region and globally.

Role Description:

The C&OR Manager plans, drives and reviews team deliverables to support consistent quality of activities, processes and outputs. This role provides leadership direction to attract, assess, develop, motivate teammates. Working as part of the Global Compliance & Operational Risk (COR) team responsible for independent oversight of Global Operations in EMEA you will be responsible for execution of the Compliance & Operational Risk Management Program with respect to Global Operations (GO).

Responsibilities:

  • Providing independent review & challenge of compliance with legislative obligations, primarily focused on BofAEurope for the EU, related to the Global Markets Operations activities, supporting the regional legal entities.
  • Promoting discussion with LOB, Operations and Change Management, with respect to BAU and change related Operational activities.
  • Ongoing identification of compliance and regulatory risks resulting from business discussions.
  • Leads development of risk coverage plans, executes and / or oversees execution of independent risk monitoring, testing and risk assessments.
  • Identifies, aggregates, reports, escalates, inspects and challenges remediation plans, and performs thematic analysis on FLU/CF-owned issues and control enhancements.
  • Representing Compliance on selected LOB Operations change, providing advice against regulations.
  • Contributing to scheduled and periodic reporting.

What we are looking for:

  • Demonstrable experience in global markets Operations.
  • Experience in 2nd line operational risk and Compliance.
  • Good working knowledge of Financial Market products such as: equities, commodities, fixed income, currencies and derivatives.
  • Logical thinker with excellent technical skills.
  • A flexible and solution-oriented perspective, with determination and desire to find answers to issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
