Job Description :

As part of the Bank of America Merrill Lynch GMSO (Global Markets Shared Operations) Quartz Control, the incumbent will be an integral part of a multi-disciplinary team whose mandate will be to deliver industry leading Front-to-Back process and technology solutions. Acting as a change agent, he/she will manage a variety of value-driven initiatives on Quartz Control project. Use his/her knowledge of processes and best practices within Reconciliation, Finance/Middle-Office Operations and project management to assist in identification, assessment and resolution of complex issues/problems. Assist in executing the enterprise-wide direction for GMSO Quartz Control and Operations functions. As a member in the group, he/she will support front-to-back integration and Quartz Control initiatives and be accountable for driving change and executing successful implementations.

This incumbent will be required to work out of BA Continuum India Ltd (A Non Banking Subsidiary of Bank of America) which has more than 15,000 employees working across offices in Gurgaon, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Chennai

Responsibilities:

As a member of Quartz Control team within Global Markets Initiatives, responsibilities will include the following:

  • Part of a team involved in the set up and scale up of various control reports aiding reconciliation between legacy systems and target strategic system


  • To perform day to day reconciliation and analyze breaks arisen from reconciliation reports to ensure proper controls are in place to reduce the risk


  • Partner closely with different Technology teams and other internal and external stakeholders to resolve the unexplained breaks and providing overview of Quartz Control system and its functionality


  • Candidate need to work through full project life-cycle from envisioning, defining business requirements, analysis, testing and implementation


  • Will be expected to translate business priorities and requirements into actionable, structured, project plans.


  • Communicate with stakeholders on daily basis, keep them abreast of status of the project and take appropriate actions based on their inputs


  • Provide initiatives and requirements for improving the reconciliations efficiency and reliability.


  • MIS reporting for senior management and relevant stakeholders


  • Help in process automation using available technology at hand- SQL/VBA/Python

Requirements

  • Education:
    • Post Graduate/ Master's Degree in Accounting/Finance (preferable)


  • Certifications (If Any) : NA
  • Experience :
    • 5+ years performing business analysis/definition and support large projects and business change.
    • Familiarity with Investment Banking products and Banking Regulations, Front and Middle Office trade operations, end-to-end trade lifecycle.
    • Stake holder management (internal & external) across regions / functions / lines of business.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication/presentation skills.
