The BAE Systems site in Jacksonville, Florida, is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician. In this role as an Emergency Medical Technician, you will work under the supervision of and report to the Medical Supervisor.

  • Collect specimens from lab or directly from patient for analysis;
  • Prepare specimens, including blood, urine, tissue, and/or other bodily fluids;
  • As required, test and analyze samples and specimens on diagnostic machinery;
  • Work with other medical providers to ensure determined results are accurate;
  • Perform hands-on tasks with using assessment and evaluation skills;
  • Provide first-aid care including preparing and sterilizing the affected area, applying pressure and dressing when needed;
  • Monitor vital signs when working directly with patients;
  • Process, record, and analyze tested data as necessary;
  • Enter information into medical databases.

Please note: This position supports on either the 1st Shift (6 AM - 6 PM) or 2nd Shift (6 PM to 6 AM). It also supports alternating weekends and occasional holidays.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Typically requires a High School Diploma (or the equivalent) plus a current EMT / Paramedic certification along with one (1) year experience in a related role such as an EMT, EMT-P, Nurse, etc.;
  • Experience working in an Emergency Room, Trauma, or related EMS environment;
  • Flexibility required to support varying shifts as needed (1st, 2nd, weekends, holidays);
  • CPR certified;
  • Must have strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills;
  • Computer skills to effectively work with Microsoft Office and industry-related software/database applications;
  • Excellent manual dexterity and high attention to detail.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • A strong science background in anatomy and biology.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $36200 - $57900

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
