Accounting Manager

Compensation: $92,000-115,000 annually (Dependent on Experience)

Summary:

The Accounting Manager will lead daily financial operations, including AP/AR oversight and managing a small team. This role requires strong accounting experience, ideally in logistics or service industries, and the ability to navigate high-volume workflows and seasonal business cycles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead daily accounting operations, including managing AP/AR staff, cash flow, and account reconciliations.
• Oversee timely and accurate billing, collections, vendor payments, and compliance with GAAP standards.
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and financial reporting.
• Partner with leadership to align financial operations with business goals, including seasonal planning and forecasting.
• Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to support strategic decisions.
• Maintain internal controls, support external audits, and lead continuous improvement across accounting functions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/CMA preferred, not required)
• 5+ years of accounting experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory or leadership role
• Industry experience in logistics, transportation, or seasonal business environments strongly preferred
• Solid knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and accounting operations in high-volume settings
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage) and advanced Excel skills
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to manage shifting priorities
