Role Overview
Regions are a focal point for the commercial activity, responsible for client relationship and opportunity management. Regions have industry and solutioning teams, practices and delivery capability scaled to match the demand and needs of the local market. They have dual accountability across direct (Avanade) and indirect (Accenture) businesses, and manage their cost, productivity, focus, and chargeability to best effect.
The Region General Manager is responsible for leading the execution of Avanade's business strategy within your region, providing clear vision, strategic leadership, and operational guidance to the regional leadership team. You will collaborate closely with Accenture and Microsoft leadership to expand the alliance and identify, pursue, and close significant business opportunities. Your primary focus will be on driving significant growth within the mid-market (direct) segment and supporting growth in the Accenture channel (indirect) that will be managed through the Accenture Microsoft Business Group (AMBG). Senior Avanade team members aligned to the Accenture channel will concentrate exclusively on indirect business opportunities through this partnership.

This role reports directly to the Area President and works closely with the Accenture ASG MBG Lead for all matters related to the Accenture channel. The General Manager will be part of the EME Avanade leadership team as well as the ASG MBG leadership team. As Region General Manager, you will lead a cross-functional regional leadership team, overseeing all aspects of the business to ensure strategic alignment and operational excellence.
Key Accountabilities
* Increase awareness and positioning of Avanade brand and solutions in the market, especially the mid-market, with the aim of generating business opportunities
Devise annual & quarterly plans/reviews of all strategic accounts, inc. management of P&L to meet revenue targets
Evaluate operational results and provide forecasting & sales pipeline analysis to support region/area/global processes
Manage team of cross-functional executives with responsibility for running and growing the business in the region

International Executive level experience in growing & leading a large, highly profitable technology services business
Sales management experience (e.g. business development, managing client portfolios, complex channel management etc.)
Superior communication and presentation skills
Solid understanding of enterprise service solutions, especially Microsoft technologies
Strong executive-level coaching and mentoring skills
Ability to spot, manage and escalate challenging problems/issues with clients and within your own organisation
Education, Certifications and Experience
University degree, advanced degree preferred
You will likely have 10+ years of business experience.
15+ years of managerial experience
International Executive level (e.g. General Manager, Division Director) experience in growing and leading a large scale, highly profitable technology services business, preferably within an international environment
