The Product Analyst owns the product / solution on behalf of Avanade, representing customer interests throughout the product / solution lifecycle. Incumbents in this job take a leadership role in defining the product / solution vision and driving scenario execution. The Product Analyst is a tactical business leader, leading key operational activities from definition to development of the production / solution. Incumbents in this job ensure the product/solution meets customer and market needs, and they develop and execute plans to drive those results. They work across functional teams to ensure success. Together we do what matters.
What you'll do
Product Discovery
* Reads between the lines of opportunity definition to tease out core business problem.
* Researches market forces impacting client.
* Blueprints ideas to spark client's business development journey/identifies customers' unmet needs.
* Owns a customer problem and stewardship of product feature (sets)
* Contribute to the product vision articulation and proves viability/product market fit.
* Produces quality research output to inform direction of engagement execution, including competitive analysis.
* Skillfully designs complex roadmaps with a feature (set) prioritization validated with market data

* Uses rapid experimentation and prototyping methods to learn & iterate to prove value quickly
* Designs product loops to activate new features.
* Partners with delivery on value-driven planning.
* Prioritizes development throughput and incoming client requests .
* Executes experiments/design experiments
* Writes use cases, user stories for development consumption
* Maintain and update the product / solution vision, roadmap, and backlog of work throughout the project's life cycle
* Manage product / solution release content and schedules and administer user acceptance testing as appropriate
Skills and experiences
* Strong experience with web and mobile products and knowledge of software development and implementation lifecycles
* Strong internal/external stakeholder interaction; includes presenting to and influencing executive decision-makers
* Experience in conducting primary and secondary research on markets including market segments, geographies, products, and industry
* Experience gathering requirements (from customers, other stakeholders) to build and guide project/product roadmaps, including use of requirements-gathering tools/technologies
* Demonstrated ability to understand different business models and strategies
* Clear and concise oral and written communication and experience working with, managing and influencing virtual teams, including off-shore
* Knowledgeable about project/program financials (e.g., budgeting, assessing financial impact, working with financial analysts)

* Skilled in interpersonal communication and negotiation
