As a Client Account Lead within Avanade you are responsible for the client and the client relationship while focusing on sales, revenue, delivery, and client satisfaction. You build, own, and maintain the client Account Plan for Avanade and, drive integration with Accenture and Microsoft (Avanade's parent companies).

* You will be responsible for the account's overall performance and growth
* You will drive the sales strategy (definition and execution), leading and delivering against sales and financial performance measures.
* You will focus on ensuring customer and partner happiness through excellence and leading long-term growth.
* You will play a pivotal leadership role in your account and your talent community through the mentoring, coaching, and driving your team towards success. This will involve taking a "hands-on" lead role in delivering and /or overseeing projects from time to time.
* You will translate high-level strategy into more localized strategy for large-scale and strategically critical workstreams.
* You will sell Digital, Cloud, Data and AI, ERP, or other large-scale consulting engagements that include global delivery into the Resources Industry.
* You will be responsible for relationship building across Avanade's clients and partners
* You will be responsible for previewing, identifying and providing fast, effective solutions to unforeseen circumstances

Skills and experiences

* Extensive experience (7+ years) in account management, business development, relationship building & advanced closure, and in driving sales in a solutions-selling environment at the executive level
* Your gravitas & strong client-facing ability coupled with your proven ability to communicate to C Level executives, the ability to become a trusted advisor with key stakeholders, and partners is an imperative for this role.
* You are a deal maker and self-starter who develops and wins new business in a complex consulting environment with sophisticated technology solutions.
* You take ownership and encourage others to make a positive impact.
* You have superb interpersonal skills and can establish relationships and neutralize conflict with colleagues, clients and others at any level inside and outside your organization.
* You have extensive success driving growth & running a client P&L, using the knowledge of a client's market, industry and strategy that has enabled you to build an exceptional, compelling and persuasive proposition
* You are a consummate account management and sales professional, with deep understanding of marketing, solution selling, deal negotiations and focus on developing and growing long term, high value customer relationships at executive level.
* Your ethos is about the long term - not the short gain.
* Industry specialist with extensive knowledge of the Resources sector - specifically Mining.
* CXO-facing and ability to earn 'seat at the table' (includes engaging and being peer of, Accenture Client Account Lead)
* Experience working with Microsoft solutions and understanding their strengths in the market.
* Agility to respond to new situations by modifying your performance & adopting new skills and abilities.
* Business development experience with new and existing clients with a proven track record of large sales and advanced closure capabilities
* Prescriptive sales principles and practices
* Crafting and positioning business results-oriented propositions and driving industry relevant business cases with clients.
* Able to act as a trusted advisor in addressing our clients business needs as well as the needs of our internal teams
* Strong communication skills, including presenting on general and industry-specific topics
* Knowledge of the Resources Industry, preferably focusing on Mining.
* Drive growth & run P&L for your account
* People and team management
* Market, industry, and client expertise
* You are an Australian Citizen

Education & Certifications
