We are seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to join our pioneering team building the next generation of native cross-platform institutional digital asset management solutions. In this role, you will architect and develop a scalable, reusable cross-platform UI library that ensures a seamless user experience across mobile and web platforms. Additionally, you will implement the overall layouts for our native and web applications, translating complex requirements into visually appealing, intuitive, and secure interfaces.

Must be able to work US Eastern Time Zone hours.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Ship Innovative Features: You will have the opportunity to build cutting-edge web applications that address novel UI/UX challenges, driving the evolution of Web3 into the institutional finance space.
• Drive Product Advancements: Assess opportunities and recommend solutions tailored to client needs. Take initiative to push Ava Labs products to become a top tier competitor.
• Continuous Learning: Stay abreast of emerging web3 technologies, as well as be challenged to learn new engineering capabilities to tackle challenges with modern solutions.
• Collaborate Across Teams: Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, and fellow engineers across different teams to deliver feature-rich experiences.
• Exhibit Extreme Ownership: Demonstrate an independent, driven mindset that thrives on taking initiative without being micromanaged. Take full responsibility for delivering high-quality, secure solutions while continuously embracing challenges, learning, and pushing boundaries to drive product excellence

WHAT MAKES YOU A GOOD FIT

• Frontend Expertise: A substantial background as a front-end developer- with some familiarity with backend. 
• Design Savy: Strong eye for design, with the ability to independently implement components and responsive layouts with sometimes little or no high fidelity designs.
• Customer Focus: Be able to think through whole UI/UX, and have a user-centric approach to designing and launching high-quality products
• Independence & Initiative: Be trusted to work autonomously. Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to overcoming technical challenges
• Adaptable: Be able to handle rapidly changing requirements and start up culture as clients and goals expand quickly.
• Strong Communicator: Be able to have clear deeply technical or high-level discussions. Concisely advocating for the best logical approach to problems, while being open to feedback and others 

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

• Significant UI development experience, with some backend experience
• Expert TypeScript and strong React fundamentals
• Experience with Tailwind, Tanstack Form/Query/Table, and Zod
• Familiarity with Next.js (or similar React meta framework), and Drizzle (or similar ORM)
• Security-first mindset: collaborate effectively with Security/Compliance; manage secrets; build auditability and observability into the product.

NICE TO HAVES

• Full stack experience or familiarity with Node
• Github Actions Experience
• Plus if well versed in React Native fundamentals, components and Expo
• Experience with the Web3/DeFi/Crypto industry and products
• Familiarity with custody/wallet UX (staking, enterprise approvals); infra exposure (Docker, CI/CD, basic Kubernetes).

Salary Range: $158,440.00 to $188,147.50

(**This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, a final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. NYC metro candidates are required to be in office 2-3x/week, with exceptions.)
