Overview:

We are seeking a Vice President of Finance Transformation to lead the evolution of our finance organization through strategic transformation focused on technology enablement, process evolution and performance acceleration. This high-impact leadership role will serve as a catalyst for change - responsible for driving and influencing cross-functional teams, leveraging technologies, and reimagining core finance processes to optimize performance, enhance productivity, and align financial systems with enterprise technology approaches. This leader embed agility in execution and drive value creation with a clear sense of urgency and accountability.

You will partner across Finance and technology functions to drive automation and scale with financial systems, optimize processes, and transform data into insights - enabling faster, smarter decisions and unlocking new levels of operational excellence. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our finance organization, delivering value through innovation, operational excellence, and a relentless focus on outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Finance Transformation & Enterprise Alignment

  • Lead the design and execution of a future-ready finance operating model, tightly integrated with enterprise-wide data, and technology strategies.
  • Ensure finance transformation initiatives are aligned with business objectives, IT architecture, and enterprise data governance.
  • Translate strategic imperatives into execution roadmaps with measurable outcomes and accelerated timelines.
  • Identify and prioritize transformation opportunities that drive measurable business performance and operating leverage.

Technology-Enabled Performance Acceleration

  • Oversee the implementation and optimization of Finance systems, tools and projects, ensuring seamless integration across platforms.
  • Advance the use of technologies - including GenAI and advanced analytics - to accelerate productivity, shorten cycle times, improve accuracy, and enable predictive insights.
  • Champion enterprise-wide adoption of digital finance tools and data-driven decision-making.

Execution Excellence & Urgent Value Delivery

  • Drive transformation execution with urgency and accountability - delivering on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
  • Develop and track KPIs and financial performance metrics to monitor impact, surface risks, and enable real-time course correction.
  • Embed continuous improvement and operating discipline to optimize process efficiency and responsiveness across finance functions.

Leadership, Stakeholder Engagement & Change Management

  • Inspire, develop, and lead high-performing cross-functional teams committed to excellence and innovation.
  • Partner closely with senior business, finance, and technology leaders to ensure shared goals and mutual accountability.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and change agent, building credibility and alignment through transparent communication, data-driven insights, and outcome-focused delivery.

Qualifications:

Required Experience:

  • 15+ years of finance and transformation leadership, with 10+ years driving finance transformation in complex, global organizations.
  • 7+ successful end-to-end finance transformation initiatives, from strategy through implementation and value realization.
  • Proven ability to deliver rapid performance improvements and business value through integrated technology and process change.
  • Deep expertise in finance operations, shared services, data governance, and compliance frameworks.
  • Track record of building strong cross-functional relationships across Finance, IT, Risk, Data, and Operations.

Preferred:

  • Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems or CPA.
  • Experience with enterprise platforms such as SAP S/4HANA, Workday, Anaplan, and RPA/AI tools.
  • Big 4 or consulting experience, especially in client-facing delivery or practice leadership roles.

Skills:

  • Exceptional strategic thinking, urgency, and problem-solving ability.
  • High emotional intelligence and stakeholder influence at the executive level.
  • Adept at translating complex challenges into actionable transformation plans.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, Power BI, and modern collaboration tools.

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk's competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $264,000 and $363,000. Offers are based on the candidate's experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
