Position Overview

Are you passionate about shaping the digital transformation with some of the most influential and biggest customers in DACH (Germany, Austria, Switzerland)?

In this Technical Sales role, your primary responsibility will be to collaborate with and inspire some of our most strategic Architecture, Engineering, Construction and Operations (AECO) customers, as they embark on their digitalization journey.

Working with the sales executive, our business development representatives and customer support specialists, you will utilize your industry knowledge and skillset to establish long-term technical relationships and foster growth. Getting a clear understanding of our customers' challenges will help you transforming them into impactful and sustainable technical solutions that deliver measurable outcomes.

You will report to the Central Europe team which is part of an EMEA wide organization. Our office location is Munich, based on your location this role can be remote or hybrid within Germany or Austria. Travel is expected within DACH and worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Develop high value relationships through a customer-centric approach
  • Define and lead the technical account vision by combining your deep industry know-how with our clients' needs and business strategy
  • Be the customer advocate internally within Autodesk
  • Be the customer's primary Autodesk technical contact for discussion and exploration related to new technologies
  • Lead technical discovery to help uncover projects and use this information to help connect with Autodesk solutions to deliver value
  • Provide insight and guidance to customers by maintaining a comprehensive knowledge of process processes, technology trends within the AEC industry and beyond
  • Develop trusted working relationships with the Autodesk extended teams (sales, customer success organisation, global technical sales, marketing, product team)
  • Collaborate with Autodesk resellers to ensure customer success after handover
  • Share best practices, competitive information, innovation, and expertise within the sales organisation, product divisions, and technical sales organisation locally and globally

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2+ years of industry or related experience
  • Degree, education or equivalent work experience in the Architecture, Engineering or Construction industry (preferably) or Data and Platform solutions.
  • Fluent German and English (both mandatory)
  • Knowledge of the most relevant industry tools for authoring (CAD/BIM) and collaboration (cloud)
  • Experience in or interest in sales-supporting function (e.g., presales)
  • Experience communicating product benefits appropriate for each prospect
  • Manage influence through persuasion, and consensus building
  • Teamwork
  • Experience balancing multiple sales opportunities independently
  • Travel up to 30% within the EMEA region
