Position Overview

Responsible for managing and mentoring a team of Technical Sales Executives, who's goal is to partner with internal sales, customer success, and authorized resellers to secure sales, by helping customers accomplish their business objectives, address their business issues and solve business problems.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of Mid-Market focused Technical Sales Executives
  • Support the expansion of the ACS pre-sales organization, building a scalable, world class technical sales team for the construction technology industry
  • Select, develop and build teams by recruiting resources, defining staff development areas and providing ongoing feedback, coaching, training, and development. Evaluate performance of team members and promote ongoing development
  • Motivate and develop team to achieve company goals and objectives. Coach teams to define/develop Expansion opportunities in an effort to drive solution sales with a customer outcome focus
  • Coach teams on soft and hard skills, such as presentation skills, discovery methods, value focused demonstrations, and value driven documentation in order to achieve technical closure
  • Establish strong working relationships across GEOs, Sales, Customer Success, Industry Strategy, Marketing, R&D, and other groups in an effort to gain insight and appropriately structure teams
  • Act as the technical interface to corporate product groups. Provide guidance to product groups on new product enhancements and prioritization of new features. May be involved with launching new products
  • Continually evaluate organization structure to ensure success through alignment with Sales teams, allocate resources as needed
  • Collaborate with Director of Techsales and other org tech managers on global org improvements, initiatives, and business cases
  • Support product group or sales development activities in order to drive sales and generate additional revenue
  • Drive effective use of sales processes, tools and methodologies within the team
  • Maintain technical knowledge of product line and company's industry focus
  • Support sales opportunities & industry events with presentations of Autodesk portfolio and industry fit
  • Develop and execute on an annual business plan
  • Be instrumental as an Autodesk Thought Leader both internally and externally
  • Participate in forecast calls, account planning, and other management meetings either virtually or in person
  • Review and recommend sales quota alignment with sales compensation plan design in order to drive appropriate behavior
  • Assess team training gaps. Define and or develop team training as required
  • Manage and maintain Technical Solution Executive operating budget
  • Manage monthly reporting of team progress and results

Minimum Qualifications

  • Proven track record in exceeding professional goals as an individual contributor or manager in current role
  • Excellent communication skills and a passion for coaching, training, and mentorship of individual contributors
  • Minimum five (8) years in construction industry, technical sales or customer facing role, working with executive level personnel. Previous management experience is a plus
  • Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud products is a plus!
  • Analytical, detail-oriented and master multi-tasker
  • Must be a hungry, humble, and smart ideal team player with advanced soft skills
  • Willing to travel as required

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk's competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based sales roles, we expect a starting On-Target Earnings (OTE) between $190,600 and $275,770. OTE is comprised of base salary plus commission target for sales roles. Offers are based on the candidate's experience and geographic location and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
