Position Overview

Become a member and participate in a varied, co-located Software Engineering Scrum team joining the Civil Infrastructure Product Line Group in Krakow as a junior QA Automation Engineer.

Your team develops Civil engineering software, like Autodesk Civil 3D and InfraWorks, to help civil engineers during both the design and construction process.

You are passionate and committed to working in an Agile team, have great attention to detail, approach the testing of desktop software using Javascript or C#, and can create and execute test strategies for the validation of complex software. You have a customer focus and the ability to drive quality in a predictable manner.

In this role, you will have a significant impact on how we ensure the quality of our products for millions of professionals. You will report to the Engineering Manager and work in a cross-functional team focused on building and maintaining software for various products and components. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of unique challenges which give you the chance to learn modern technology and grow your skills.

Your direct co-workers will be in Germany, Hungary, Spain, the US and Canada, while you will be working in a Hybrid model from our Krakow office location.

Responsibilities

  • Support automated testing, create scripts to support automation testing. And also execute manual testing wherever required
  • Analyze and decompose cross-product workflows and start designing a strategy to test them
  • Support developing and executing high quality test plans to deliver an amazing user experience
  • Support developing test strategies that are complete and concise
  • Perform functional testing, regression testing, ongoing system integration, and periodic build verification tests as part of each product release cycle
  • Find defects in features in development or products in production. Isolate, confirm, and log defects. Work with Agile Team to prioritize and fix them
  • Actively participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog grooming, sprint retrospective etc.
  • Work with the Agile team at improving Quality Assurance process and be an ambassador for automated quality
  • Identify redundant tests scenarios and work on their automation

Minimum Qualifications

  • 1-2 years experience with C# or C++ programming
  • Passion to improve product quality
  • Customer orientated approach to Quality Assurance
  • Some experience in software development in a commercial setting in a Scrum team
  • First or upper-second class degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Solid English knowledge

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in complex software solutions and code bases
  • Experience with Javascript
  • Experience with Git or similar source code revision control systems
  • Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD pipeline and Test Automation
  • Understanding of deployment methodology
  • Working Experience or educational background in AEC industry is a plus
