Autodesk's Worldwide Marketing organization seeks a Senior Director of Content and SEO to shape content strategy, synchronize content operations, and supervise content and SEO efforts throughout the customer journey. The Senior Director of Content and SEO will spearhead a center of excellence that harmonizes content planning, creation, publishing, and measurement across the organization.

You are a seasoned digital marketing professional whose years of expertise with content are informed by experience across multiple marketing disciplines, including brand, search, product marketing, demand gen, and ABM. This leader relentlessly focuses on customer needs to ensure content efforts engage audiences critical to growing the business. Ultimately, this leader understands the power of content to drive growth.

As an experienced business partner, the Senior Director of Content and SEO will inspire global teams to establish plans, set expectations, and deliver and report on shared goals and results.

You will report directly to the VP of Industry & Portfolio Marketing.

Responsibilities

Strategy/Planning

  • Create cross-organizational strategy for SEO, content planning, creation, publishing, and measurement
  • Ensure content is created with a distribution-first mindset
  • Partner with audience experts to turn insights into content that helps customers achieve their business outcomes
  • Develop and manage a centralized editorial calendar to establish visibility into all content created via a content marketing platform (CMP)
  • Co-own/co-manage requirements definition, selection, & implementation of content technology
  • Implement a cross-functional content council to foster collaboration and best practice sharing

Production

  • Standardize and streamline content production processes to ensure efficient business strategy alignment
  • Build a content factory/engine to scale content production across all stages of the buyers' journey to drive higher traffic and engagement
  • Establish standardized guidelines to ensure content quality, consistency, and brand adherence
  • Develop digital content publishing strategies that engage & move audiences across the lifecycle
  • Work across teams to coordinate, curate, and produce content that drives customer outcomes

Execution/Measurement/Optimization

  • Define & oversee content measurement and KPIs to ensure content performance & optimization
  • Implement best practices for content hygiene and maintenance to ensure optimum content performance

Minimum Qualifications

  • You have 12+ years of experience in global content-centric marketing roles in the software & technology sector
  • You are an expert in modern content marketing and strategy best practices
  • Have experience across marketing disciplines such as: brand, search, product marketing, demand gen, and ABM
  • You are a clear, concise writer, editor, and content producer with the ability to nurture that skill in others
  • Familiar with lead-nurturing practices to attract and build audiences with hyper-relevant content
  • You have some experience with AI to automate content production and optimization
  • You have a firm grasp of overall business strategy, marketing goals, and how content fuels business outcomes
  • You have excellent communication and influencing skills, proven executive presentation experience, and a proven ability to communicate across an ecosystem of influencers, stakeholders, and global teams
  • You have experience managing creative teams, including writers, designers & developers; You inspire and lead people to define goals and deliver results
  • You have demonstrated global expertise, including regional awareness, and localization requirements
  • Have strong relationship-building, collaboration and influencing skills that drive decisions
  • You have familiarity with technology platforms that organize, structure, and deliver content across digital touchpoints

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk's competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $201,500 and $326,040. Offers are based on the candidate's experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
