Position Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team at Autodesk in Toronto, Canada. We are looking for full stack Engineers who love creating efficient, scalable, and thoughtful solutions to a variety of technical and product challenges. As Full Stack Engineer you will work to deliver top quality Web and Cloud software.
Location: Toronto, Canada
Responsibilities
- You will develop high quality, secure, stable, extensible, and highly performant solutions for developers and customers
- You will work with Product Owner, Architect, development teams, and others to understand and help refine functional requirements for new products
- You will develop and outline architecture and relationships between subsystems and participate in review of those designs
- Investigate and, if necessary, prototype technologies and algorithms relating to the task
- Break down a large problem into smaller components and provide a clear solution for each piece
- Ensure new code, feature or software product meets performance goals/metrics
- Write and maintain the code following Test-Driven-Design principles
- Convert complex software solutions into well-written technical design documents

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in any Engineering discipline
- 8+ years of strong programming skills in Web and Cloud Technologies
- Hands on knowledge of Jenkins, writing and maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines
- Hands on knowledge of OAuth flow implementations
- Experience implementing backend data layers using GraphQL
- Experience implementing well-documented, RESTful APIs
- Experience implementing backend services using NodeJS
- Experience implementing with Relational database technologies like MySQL, etc.
- Experience implementing highly scalable caching on the backend
- Experience using AWS technologies such as Lambda, S3, Kafka, CDN, CloudFront
- Very strong foundation in Javascript / Typescript, and must have a clear understanding of web fundamentals, such as prototype-based inheritance, scopes, Event Loop, Memory Management, etc. Should also have in-depth understanding of latest ES6 standards
- Good at developing modular front-end applications and is expected to have the knowledge to create good abstractions that can be reused
- Clear understanding of TDD is expected and should have good exposure to writing UT's and designing UI components with testability in mind
