Position Overview

Autodesk is seeking a highly motivated, experienced Principal Engineer with deep SAP S/4HANA expertise to join our Growth Engineering Technology team. This role is pivotal in shaping enterprise-level strategies and driving digital transformation initiatives using SAP's latest technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and lead the implementation of SAP S/4HANA and other systems solutions across S2P and P2P domains, ensuring process optimization and business alignment
  • Partner with business stakeholders, procurement, and finance teams to understand requirements and translate them into scalable, high-performing technical solutions
  • Design and implement enhancements, interfaces, and extensions using SAP S/4HANA best practices, ensuring minimal customization and maximum value
  • Lead end-to-end solution delivery including system configuration, integration, data migration, and user acceptance testing
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for automation, simplification, and performance optimization
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to development and support teams, ensuring adherence to architecture standards and governance frameworks
  • Collaborate with SAP COE, security, infrastructure, and third-party vendors to ensure seamless deployment and support
  • Stay abreast of new SAP technologies and product roadmaps to inform strategic decisions and innovation opportunities

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in SAP ERP systems with 5+ years in SAP S/4HANA, specifically in the S2P and P2P areas
  • Deep knowledge of SAP MM, Ariba, and integration with SAP FI, AP, and supplier collaboration tools
  • Experience with SAP Fiori, CDS Views, ABAP enhancements, and APIs (OData/REST)
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes including requisitioning, sourcing, purchasing, vendor management, invoicing, and payment
  • Proven experience in large-scale SAP transformation projects, including greenfield or brownfield S/4HANA implementations
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology and DevOps practices is a plus

Preferred Qualifications

  • SAP Ariba and SAP Business Network experience
  • Knowledge of SAP Central Procurement, SRM migration, or Guided Buying
  • Familiarity with tools like SAP Fieldglass, Open Text VIM, SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform), and Integration Suite
  • Exposure to industry standards such as ISO 8000, SOX compliance, and supplier risk management frameworks

  • Possess a deep understanding of S/4HANA, MM, Ariba, and integration points with finance and supply chain modules

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk's competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $141,400 and $228,800. Offers are based on the candidate's experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
