Reporting to Director, Engineering, AEC Construction R&D, we are seeking an experienced Engineering Management leader to lead the GCPay Engineering Team. As part of this role, you will partner with your Technical Leadership and Product Management counterparts to shape the strategic direction of Autodesk's Payment Application toolset and its integration into the larger Autodesk Construction Cloud platform (ACC) platform. Success in this role requires strategic engineering and thought leadership, high collaboration skills and ability to drive alignment with cross-functional partners/teams across AEC Construction and Autodesk.

We are a remote-first workplace. You'll work with teammates across the globe and will travel up to 15% of the time for face-to-face meetings like conferences, team offsites, and customers. If you prefer office life, we have offices in numerous cites including San Francisco, Portland, Denver, Boston, and Atlanta.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, coach and develop an effective and highly motivated team to deliver solutions to customers
  • Accountable for business outcomes for the teams. Plan and manage successful completion of projects to fulfill business objectives. Work with the team to break down complex technical requirements into logical execution slices. Help team to identify, solve and/or escalate dependencies and roadblocks
  • Lead team to support customers and solve customer incidents and issues with sense of urgency. Help team to understand the importance of customer-centricity and build customer empathy
  • Enhance engineering efficiency by observing the team, identifying opportunities, and influencing the improvement
  • Sustain the performance of your team by communicating clear organizational goals and removing impediments
  • Collaborate with upstream and downstream teams to accomplish cross-organizational project goals, and promote collaboration as breaking silos and prioritizing business success over individual team success
  • Inspire team members to achieve maximum productivity and optimal creativity. Support each team member in their pursuit of career development paths and opportunities
  • Be the spokesperson for the team and champion their accomplishments with upper management and adjacent teams
  • Be comfortable working with globally distributed peers and team members

Minimum Qualifications

  • 12+ years of professional experience in a technology and/or software company
  • 8+ years of experience leading teams of mid and senior level staff
  • Demonstrated experience managing software development teams responsible for delivering products or services to enterprise customers
  • Experience managing complex software projects with dependencies to other development teams and timelines
  • Deep understanding of all phases of software development lifecycle from analyzing needs to delivery of working software
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or other engineering discipline (or equivalent experience will be considered)
  • An excellent communicator, both in written and verbal form, with the ability to present to large audiences and lead group activities

Salary is one part of Autodesk's competitive compensation package. Offers are based on the candidate's experience and geographic location.
