As the Director, Communications Business Partner, Platform Services and Emerging Technologies (PSET) at Autodesk, you will lead strategic communications for our Chief Technology Officer, Chief Trust Officer, and SVP of Research & Development. You'll be a key advisor, developing narratives that highlight Autodesk's innovation, research, and trust leadership across internal and external audiences.
In this role, you will also build and lead Autodesk's analyst relations program, helping to shape and promote the emerging Design and Make category across our core industries: Architecture, Engineering & Construction (AEC), Design & Manufacturing (D&M), and Media & Entertainment (M&E).

You'll manage a small, growing team (1-2 direct reports initially), collaborate across the global communications function and agency partners, and bring strong people leadership, strategic planning, and content development skills to the table.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic communications programs for the PSET organization, targeting audiences such as customers, investors, media, and Autodesk's Board of Directors.
- Act as a key communications advisor to senior technology leaders, shaping messaging that reflects Autodesk's platform vision, innovation, and trust priorities.
- Establish and manage Autodesk's analyst relations program, fostering strong relationships and securing participation in industry evaluations.
- Create and guide the development of high-impact content, including executive keynotes, presentations, blogs, press materials, and social media.
- Partner with teams across product, marketing, legal, and investor relations to align messaging with company priorities and prepare for key business moments.
- Build and maintain relationships with top-tier media, analysts, and influencers to elevate Autodesk's technology leadership.
- Ensure narrative consistency by collaborating with executive communications, internal communications, and brand teams.
- Measure communication program impact and share actionable insights with senior leadership.
- Lead and grow a high-performing team (starting with 1-2 direct reports), fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic communications, public relations, or corporate affairs, preferably in the tech or innovation sectors.
- Experience advising senior executives and shaping C-level communications strategy.
- Proven success building and leading analyst relations programs.
- Strong grasp of technology topics including cloud, AI, data infrastructure, research, and cybersecurity.
- Excellent writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical topics for broad audiences.
- Demonstrated leadership experience with team management and development.
- Strong media relations background and a history of securing top-tier coverage.
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, PR, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field (Master's degree a plus).

Salary transparency
Salary is one part of Autodesk's competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $172,000 and $278,190. Offers are based on the candidate's experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
