Position Overview

The GDI Analytics Enablement Team is seeking a Data Evangelist & Communications Specialist to lead the charge in promoting data literacy, fostering engagement, and communicating the value of customer data analytics across our global organization. This role will serve as the face and voice of our data and analytics initiatives, driving cultural change by inspiring teams to adopt data-driven decision-making. You will collaborate closely with technical and business stakeholders, creating clear, compelling communications and initiatives that educate, motivate, and empower analysts and business users.

Responsibilities

  • Evangelize Data and Analytics: Act as a champion for data and analytics across the enterprise, promoting adoption of best practices, tools, certified data assets and standardized metrics and KPIs
  • Develop Communications Strategy: Craft and deliver clear, engaging communications that explain complex analytics concepts in a business-friendly way
  • Create and Curate Content: Write newsletters, blog posts, internal updates, success stories, and learning spotlights that drive awareness and highlight impact
  • Enablement Initiatives: Lead and support initiatives to increase awareness of the Analytics Enablement Program, including events, learning paths, and community forums
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Work cross-functionally with analytics, data, and business leaders to ensure consistent messaging and advocacy around enterprise analytics initiatives
  • Support Learning & Onboarding: Collaborate with colleagues on enablement and technical documentation to enhance learning experiences and foster a culture of data literacy
  • Measure Impact: Maintain a feedback loop with stakeholders, define KPIs and track engagement to evaluate the effectiveness of evangelism and communications activities

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Data/Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of experience in a communications, marketing, enablement, or analytics role, ideally within a data-driven organization
  • Strong understanding of analytics concepts, data culture, and the challenges of data adoption in large organizations, and familiarity with Data Science concepts
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English are essential, with the ability to translate technical content into compelling narratives
  • Comfortable with presenting data and storytelling using a variety of tools, ranging from PowerPoint to Power BI. SQL coding skills and experience with Snowflake is preferred
  • Experience producing high-quality internal communications, newsletters, videos, presentations, or knowledge-sharing content
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and build trust with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. A self-starter with creativity, initiative, and a passion for inspiring change
  • Experience and effective use of tools such as SharePoint, Canva, Qualtrics, Confluence, Slack, MS Teams, Zoom and Degreed is a plus

They have a strategic mindset and can see the big picture while also managing the day-to-day execution of communications, content creation, and engagement efforts. With strong interpersonal skills, they're able to build trust, foster community, and inspire data-driven thinking across the organization.

They're proactive and resourceful, always seeking creative ways to increase visibility and adoption of analytics tools, best practices, and resources. They're comfortable leading campaigns, writing blogs or internal newsletters, creating presentations, hosting events or forums, and partnering with both technical and business teams.

Experience working in a data, analytics, or enablement-related field is a strong advantage, but just as important is their ability to communicate with clarity, influence others, and generate excitement around enterprise analytics initiatives.
