Position Overview
The Commission Manager manages a team of commission analysts who support sales teams and partners with Sales Finance Business Partners/Finance Directors for sales commission. This position is part of a larger group of the Global Commission Office and will work with peers in other GEO's to ensure global alignment.
This roles' primary goal is to lead and mentor a team of analysts to ensure that the sales teams supported by the commission analyst on the team are paid accurately and on time. This role is also responsible for understanding the commission forecast for their own GEO and providing information that will help the WW Commission Manager and best model and forecast the commission result. The Commission Manager will be the SME for their GEO, working with Finance Business Partners, Sales Managers, Finance Directors, and Sales Compensation to correctly and effectively implement the approved sales compensation plan.

Responsibilities
Responsible for the End-to-End Commission Process for Team
- Manage the teams comp plan (TTS) creation process, ensuring compliance with the approved comp plan and crediting rules
- Ensure all variable commissions are paid in accordance with sales comp plan and earnings
- Understand the sales compensation plan and ensure it is implemented correctly by the team
- Ensures Sarbanes Oxley (SOx) compliance for team
Acts as a SME to the Team
- Understand the crediting rules and special considerations by team and ensures these are implemented correctly
- Provides commentary and explanation for payments and earnings
- Thoroughly reviews analyst packages, makes sure that payments are submitted correctly, any outliers are understood/correct, and approves payments
- Understands GEO commission forecast and identifies gaps between commission and billings forecast, as well as visibility to the manual components of the commission forecast
Manages a Team of Analyst
- Responsible for development of the team of analysts - ensures each person on the team has a plan and opportunities for development. Coaches and trains
- Ensures the teams activities are in accordance with the organization's priorities
- Handle staffing and training of the team
- Gives feedback to the team; encourages constant learning and improvement
- Professionally delivers communication and manages conflict
Effective Communicator
- Liaison between analyst team and other stakeholders (WW Commission manager, sales compensation, sales managers, FBP/FD's, etc)
- Ensures team understands our global priorities and helps them model and prioritize their own work in order to meet goals
- Initiative to improve processes: looks for ways to drive improvement and leads implementation
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years management experience. Experience managing a remote team a plus
- Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, Business Administration or Finance. MBA/CMA/ACCA a plus
- Commission experience preferred
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and Power BI skills
- Able to apply judgement consistently
- Able to multitask and manage a team to deliver results in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy
- Must be flexible in work time, as meetings are sometimes required with other team members in different Geos
- Applicant should have flexibility, an open mind, and a strong willingness to learn
