We are currently seeking an Associate Software Development Manager to join Fusion Design AI team, part of the Product Design and Manufacturing Solutions division. This role is based at our Pune office and will be responsible for delivering innovative AI/ML features within Fusion.As an Associate Software Development Manager, you will oversee and guide the creation of innovative AI/ML features, driving the advancement of our software solutions. You will collaborate with Software Engineers, Architects, Quality Assurance professionals, Experience Designers, and Product Managers to provide exceptional AI/ML-driven user experiences. Comfort in an Agile environment, effective communication with global colleagues, and inspiring your team to achieve remarkable results are essential for this role. This position offers a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of AI/ML technology and software development, shaping the future of AI/ML applications within our organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a scrum team focused on developing AI/ML features, ensuring effective collaboration, innovation and high performance
  • Inspire an open and trusting culture and provide your team with the tools and motivation to thrive
  • Help remove team obstacles and empower your team to deliver on schedule with confidence and high quality
  • Mentor, challenge, and reward high-performing individuals to help them achieve their full potential and career development
  • Collaborate in technical and architectural discussions, provide direction, and drive decision-making
  • Regularly communicate and collaborate with various stakeholders, including engineers, architects, product owners, and product managers
  • Navigating escalations and acting as a bridge between different engineering teams
  • Be a trusted partner for senior management to determine best solutions, help drive alignment, and implement decisions throughout your team
  • Collaborate with teams overseas and execute projects with many dependencies

Minimum Qualifications

  • B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science/Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with cross-functional partners to drive and influence product and technical strategy
  • 6 to 10 years of total experience, including 5 to 8 years as a developer(C++) and 1 to 2 years in a management role
  • Ability to drive high technical standards, accounting for performance and reliability
  • Experience in working with distributed teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proactive, accountable with a strong understanding of Agile development practices and a broad knowledge of full software development lifecycle
  • Familiarity and/or experience with Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools
  • Experience in developing/managing AI/ML/Generative AI applications will be a plus
  • Knowledge of task management systems such as JIRA
