- Build and maintain backend services and APIs for deploying and serving machine learning models in production
- Collaborate with data scientists and ML engineers to operationalize models and ensure performance, reliability, and scalability
- Design and implement data transformations and pipelines to support reporting, dashboarding, and decision-making
- Write clean, efficient SQL for analytics, dashboards, and ad hoc investigations
- Monitor and debug issues across systems, from data pipelines to model-serving infrastructure
- Continuously improve system reliability, observability, and maintainability through thoughtful engineering and automation
- Participate in architecture and design discussions, contributing ideas to simplify, scale, and improve our systems
- Explore how things work behind the scenes, proactively identifying and addressing inefficiencies or technical debt

What we're looking for
- Strong software engineering skills focused on maintainable and solid design
- Experience with deploying machine learning models into production environments
- Solid understanding of data workflows, including building and maintaining data pipelines and transformations
- Proficient in writing and optimizing SQL queries
- A naturally curious mindset you enjoy digging into unfamiliar systems and figuring out how things work
- Growth-oriented and self-driven you like learning new tools, technologies, and patterns
- Bonus: Familiarity with data warehousing, metrics layers, or observability tools
