We're looking for a talented commercial transactions attorney to join our team to support our commercial business in DACH with flexibility to support in other EMEA countries too. In this role, you will work with the sales team, internal business partners, and other Legal team members to review and respond to requests from current and prospective customers.

As a valued member of this team, you'll play a pivotal role drafting and negotiating a variety of agreements with Atlassian's enterprise customers. You will also have the chance to contribute to team projects and contribute to our positive remote team culture. • Be an active part of our Commercial Legal Team, which supports Atlassian's enterprise sales business.
• Negotiate enterprise cloud and license agreements for Atlassian's products and services, including master services agreements.
• Partner and collaborate with other teams, such as our privacy, risk and compliance, security, finance, accounting, product and sales teams to facilitate contract reviews and internal process improvement, and development and enhancement of our customer-facing forms.
• Providing pragmatic, business-minded guidance on contract-related issues.
• Developing support materials and providing trainings to educate our direct sales and channel teams on contract terms and other legal issues.
• Build trusted relationships with our sales colleagues in the region, being extremely curious about our company's business priorities and proactive in suggesting solutions.
• Advise business and corporate functions in the region in close collaboration with our specialist teams in the U.S. and EMEA.
• Contribute to projects improving contract processes and sales enablement.

• You're experienced in working in matrix organizations and building relationships with sales teams and other stakeholders.
• You take ownership and accomplish tasks seeking appropriate support.
• You bring empathy and understanding to your conversations with customers and clients, creating a path forward that balances company risk and customer needs.
• You enjoy negotiating and closing deals in a collaborative spirit, and you don't use a rigid approach.
• You are not afraid to say "I don't know" and you ask many questions.
• You enjoy working remotely and you enjoy taking up new responsibilities and work autonomously and in a multicultural team.
• You think creatively beyond the "legal" box to offer solutions for the business.

• Have a LLB/LLM or equivalent German legal qualification (You've studied at a German University and passed your First/Second State Examination) with ± 8+ years PQE (we are looking for an experienced deal lawyer).
• Have experience handling b2b contract negotiations and have commercial acumen.
• Be able to communicate fluently in German and in English, other languages are a plus.
• Have an understanding of related topics like data privacy.
• Be curious about Atlassian's products, culture, and business model.
• Be enthusiastic to work in an international environment, learn and take on new responsibilities.
• Have a minimal base knowledge of privacy matters, including GDPR.
• Be curious about using AI in your daily work and about legal aspects of AI.

• Experience in the SaaS space and tech.
• Knowledge/experience in other legal areas.
• Experience with public sector customers or financial institutions.
• Additional legal qualifications in other EMEA jurisdictions.
