Atlassian can hire people in any country where we have a legal entity. This is a primarily remote position. However, to help our teams work together effectively, you will be located in the Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST) zone and in close proximity to our Sydney office.

Your future team

Our Leadership Operations team is a global team of over 60 Executive and Administrative Assistants. Our mission is to Supercharge Atlassian leaders - unleashing their focus and productivity. Teamwork is at the core of everything we do and we work openly and collaboratively across the business. We subscribe to a centralized administrative structure - you will report directly into a Team Manager who will partner with you and your leaders.

Join us. We're hiring a Senior Administrative Assistant with a background in supporting leaders at scale.

Job description

Do you love putting out fires while remaining calm and flexible despite ever-changing priorities and needs? Do you get excited by the prospect of providing outstanding remote support to an awesome leadership team? Are you passionate about working cross-functionally with various teams in a global environment and making sure all details are in place? If yes, then this opportunity is for you. Atlassian is looking for a Sr Administrative Assistant to join our team.

Your primary role is to provide dedicated support to global Engineering leaders and their teams in multiple time zones. The Engineering team at Atlassian is growing - to meet the needs of the business, your leaders and teams may change during your tenure.

What you'll do

  • Deliver excellence in all foundational administrative tasks - calendar management, travel, expenses, and administration.
  • Help organize business meetings through Google Calendar.
  • Ensure proper coordination of meetings and booking of office meeting rooms.
  • Prepare travel itineraries, transportation arrangements and accommodations where necessary.
  • Be entrusted with the task of handling corporate and personal expenses.
  • Coordinate virtual and in-person events.
  • Be an important bridge between your leader and their teams, quickly building trusted relationships.
  • Participate in Leadership Ops meetings and build relationships throughout the team.

On your first day, we will expect that:

  • You have at least 5 years experience in an Administrative Assistant role supporting Management/Executive Leaders.
  • You have a great sense of TEAM and can easily report into and take direction from your Team Manager.
  • You possess advanced G-Suite skills and can communicate well through verbal and written platforms. You have an eye for details and the knack for planning and organizing using Google Calendar.
  • You demonstrate the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • You're a high performer and keen to drive impact. You have experience managing conflicting priorities and prioritizing demands, you focus on solutions, and are comfortable navigating change and removing blockers.

It's also great if:

  • You have experience supporting Engineering senior leaders in high-growth technology companies.
  • You have knowledge in using Confluence and/or Trello tools.
