This role involves in-person responsibilities which require attendance in the Seattle office at least 50% of the time, with travel required, as needed, to Mountain View, San Francisco, and Canada.
Your future team
We're hiring an experienced Principal Program Manager to join our team, reporting to our Head of Culture, Growth and Innovation. In this role, you will oversee strategic initiatives and business and site operations across North America. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for driving the successful planning, execution, and delivery of strategic site programs. These programs are crucial to building a world-class engineering organization and create an exceptional workplace experience for Atlassian employees.

What you'll do
- Drive impact by collaborating with a diverse range of partners across teams to solve key business challenges.
- Build vibrant, high-performing regional environments where teams thrivealigned through Atlassian's values.
- Help retain and grow top talent that continually raises the bar for our engineering organization.
- Serve as a trusted strategic partner by bringing structure, clarity, and momentum to complex initiatives.
- Develop and lead decision-making frameworks that address evolving regional needs across North America.
- Define and track goals and metrics to measure the effectiveness of site leadership and operational efforts.
- Deliver regular updates on progress, including key milestones, performance against goals, and market insights.
- Support senior Engineering executives on high-priority strategic and site-based initiatives.
- Minimum 10+ years of relevant work in business operations, program management or Chief of Staff roles
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (including experience with facilitating meetings and engaging with an executive audience).
- Experience leading high-impact, programs or projects with a strong sense of urgency and commitment
- Demonstrated flexibility and a history of delivering results in a ambiguous and fast-paced work environment.
- Ability to roll up your sleeves and get things done through taking calculated risks and experimenting with new solutions
Compensation
At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:
Zone A: $198,500 - $264,600
Zone B: $178,600 - $238,100
Zone C: $164,700 - $219,600
This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
