We are looking for an experienced Design Operations Lead to join our team! You will report to the Head of Design Operations.
As Design Operations Manager, TeamOps you will:
Lead as a strategic partner: You will understand the big picture and drive overall success, while tactically delivering incremental value for the team and the company. You will partner with the Head of Design Transformation & Platform and design leadership on org-level design initiatives. You will partner
Bring strategy to action: Leading multiple workstreams, you will lead collaborative efforts to improve work management practices, instill effective team practices, and ensure alignment and execution on a global change strategy. You will run complex -- often ambiguous -- programs. You will establish processes and governance, and collaborate with leadership and cross-functional partners to provide clear guardrails while empowering teams to move quickly.
Connect the dots: A true systems thinker, you will always have a line of sight to the big picture, constantly connecting the dots and identifying the root causes of problems not just treating the immediate symptoms.
Collaborative catalyst: You will be a catalyst for collaboration. You will lead critical initiatives to optimize work management practices, foster a culture of strong teamwork, and foster shared understanding across teams, leadership, designers, and cross-functional partners. You will be a multiplier who inspires and motivates others to do their best work.
Champion of DesignOps Excellence: You will continuously refine operational best practices, strengthen feedback and learning loops, lead the implementation of our long-term DesignOps strategy, and drive consistency across our embedded design operations practices. As a member of DesignOps leadership team, ensure measurable success for both our Design Operations team and the broader Design organization.
Your background
- You have 3+ years of experience managing a distributed team
- 8+ years of relevant professional experience delivering programs that affect people and processes, ideally in design operations, consulting, or business operations
- Deep expertise in design practices and methodologies, product development lifecycle, and measurement & evaluation
- Strong program management and stakeholder management skills, with experience defining and implementing initiatives at scale
- Experience driving change management across a large, globally distributed organization
- Expertise in measuring impact, identifying risks, and focusing projects on priorities that accomplish outcomes
Compensation
At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:
Zone A: $188,800 - $251,700
Zone B: $169,900 - $226,500
Zone C: $156,700 - $208,900
This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
