We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Professional to oversee and ensure the implementation of comprehensive safety programs across our construction and electrical operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and electrical safety, and extensive knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, state, and federal regulatory standards.

Our headquarters are in Veldhoven, the Netherlands, and we have 18 office locations around the United States including main offices inChandler Arizona, San Jose and San Diego California, Wilton Connecticut, and Hillsboro Oregon.

Role and responsibilities

Safety Program Management: Develop, implement, and enforce safety policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA, NFPA 70E, and other applicable state and federal regulations. Incident Investigation: Investigate and report on incidents, near misses, and safety violations; recommend corrective actions. Liaise with project managers, site supervisors, and subcontractors to promote a culture of safety. Maintain up-to-date safety documentation and prepare reports for internal and external audits. Assist in preparing Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), Permit to Work (PTW) systems, and safety documentation for project approvals. Stay current with updates to safety laws, regulations, and best practices. Emergency Response Planning: Collaborate with local management to prepare and maintain site-level emergency response plans. Communicate with safety-related and environmental agencies before, during, and after emergencies. Hazardous Waste Management: Manage hazardous waste including scheduling, training, and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Conduct safety audits and inspections on a daily, weekly, and quarterly basis. Training and Development: Deliver safety training on various topics including working at heights, lockout/tagout, and new EHS initiatives. Manage personal protective equipment (PPE) assessment and implementation. ISO Compliance: Ensure compliance with ISO 14001 and other relevant standards.

Education and experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in construction and electrical safety roles.
  • In-depth knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, and other local/state/federal regulations.
  • Certifications such as CSP, CHST, OSHA 30/OSHA 510, NFPA 70E, or First Aid/CPR are highly desirable

Other information
  • This position is located on-site in San Jose, California. It requires onsite presence to attend in-person work-related events, trainings and meetings and to further ensure teamwork, collaboration and innovation.

The current base annual salary range for this role is currently:
$103,500-172,500
Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members.

The Company offers employees and their families, medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to participate in the Company's 401k plan. Employees will also receive eight (8) hours of vacation leave every month and (13) paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
