Introduction to the job

The Financial Systems Manager will be responsible for administering multiple Hyperion Financial Applications and Essbase Databases. Managing the monthly financial forecast processes including consolidating the forecast and preparing and analyzing financial statements (P&L, BS, CF)

Role and responsibilities

  • Responsible for all aspects of Hyperion application financial systems administration, training and support for end users
  • Develop and maintain business rules, calculation scripts, data forms and dashboards
  • Implement and document process improvements, system upgrades and configuration changes
  • Administering the month, quarter and annual close processes for both actual financial results and the financial forecast
  • Reporting financial information to the parent company in SAP Analytic Cloud and Workiva (Wdesk)
  • Financial planning and support for key areas as assigned.

Education and experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems or related field required
  • 5+ years of experience in Hyperion system administration
  • Hands on experience with Planning, Essbase, Dodeca and Smart View
  • Experience with Oracle and SAP ERP
  • Experience with financial statement analysis and preparation

Skills
  • Strong knowledge of financial statements and U.S. GAAP
  • Ability to drive change and improve efficiency of financial processes
  • Detail oriented and diligent in ensuring accuracy in financial reporting
  • Ability to perform job functions with limited supervision
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with colleagues and internal stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to perform effectively in a fast paced environment with changing priorities.

This position is located on-site in San Diego, CA . It requires onsite presence to attend in-person work-related events, training courses and meetings and to further ensure teamwork, collaboration, and innovation.

The current base annual salary range for this role is currently:
$129,000-215,000
Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members.

The Company offers employees and their families, medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to participate in the Company's 401k plan. Employees will also receive eight (8) hours of vacation leave every month and (13) paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
