Job mission
As a Business Performance Engineering analyst at ASML, it is your role to collect, analyze and translate our data into business insights. You will support the generation of business insights by using a combination of cross-sector data sources and applying leading analytics tools and technologies on these sources in order to enable optimization of ASML and customer value.
Job scope with medium complexity in terms of business dynamics: demand & customers, supplier accounts or products, planning and span of control. Tasks are operational, following standard processes. Is able to think outside standard processes when needed. Works independently, receiving general direction.
Interfaces with stakeholders across sectors under supervision of manager.
Provides support to PGP deliverables.
Role and responsibilities
- Generate business insights by translating data into visuals, reports, and dashboards
- Support in formulating problem statements and performing exploratory data analysis to identify trends and patterns
- Apply leading analytics tools and technologies to develop in-depth understanding of structured and unstructured data on the topic at hand
- Interact with technical and non-technical (cross-sector) stakeholders and be able to present and explain analytical problems, approach, results, and recommendations
- Interpret statistical model outputs and translate into forecasts for factory and financial planning
- Support business with reporting, analysis, and improvement proposals

- Interprets and analyzes relevant data on business planning to understand root causes of issues and set priorities for resolutions/improvements. Communicates outcomes to other senior planners. Focuses on tactical level.
- Identifies cost saving opportunities for own job scope and proposes solutions. Provides information for investment decisions for internal and external parties, to achieve business growth. Builds an overview of resources needs.
- Has a clear understanding of the vision and mission of the department. Knows business dynamics and applies this knowledge to contribute to improvement projects.
- Owner of key performance indicators, draws insights and leverages them to drive root cause analyses by the team.
- Actively maintains relationships with direct counterparts and management level. Provides support to the senior business planner in the stakeholder management by arranging meetings, events and supporting materials.
- Solves problems in a structured way using problem solving methods. Standardizes own job scope. Leads medium sized initiatives and/or contributes to larger initiatives led by others.
Leads discussions and short term projects (up to 3 months) over teams within the department or is member of a larger project..
Education and experience
We are looking for candidates with high potential to grow the role, challenge themselves, and contribute to ASML's success. This role can be augmented for candidates with higher levels of applicable education and experience, however, these are not a requirement.
MS degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering or Business Administration with solid experience, or equivalent working and thinking level.
Solid experience in working with process frameworks and improvement tools and techniques.
- Relevant bachelor / master degree (technical or business administration) with 2 years of professional experience
- Relevant work experience which utilized analysis of data to make informed decision
- Experience with financial or other data analysis and analytic tools (tool examples: Excel, Spotfire, Tableau)
- Experience in or the knowledge of the semiconductor industry is a plus
- Strong English communication skills (written & oral)
- Understands supply chain processes related to the department.
- Communicates effectively. Method & frequency in line with urgency and importance. Offers support in improvement of communication within established communication systems and procedures

- Strong capability for problem solving, customer focus, task prioritization, high quality of work, and adaptability
- Must be able to read and interpret data, information and documents.
- Ability to learn and apply new information or skills

- Routinely required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch. Occasionally required to move around the campus.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
- U.S. Flexible Work policy may be available to employees who work in conductive roles. Mutually-beneficial alternative work arrangement must be approved by manager - hybrid working Model.

Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members.
