We are looking for a highly capable Claims Manager to join our team and work from our New York City (NY) office. This individual will have the exciting opportunity to supervise a team of Construction general liability professionals and contribute to providing superb claims results for our clients.

The primary duties and responsibilities of the role are:

  • Successfully supervisor and provide technical oversight to a medium size team of Construction general liability professionals to provide superb claims results for our clients and ensure performance objectives and metrics are in place to support and meet department goals.

  • Partner with key Claims Management to develop strategic and operational plans aimed at achieving efficiencies.

  • Provide direction, leadership and training to in-house claims professionals.

  • Establish, refine and evolve best-in-class claim management program operating characteristics, measurement criteria, and meaningful metrics benchmarking.

  • Provide advice and oversight into claim disposition strategies.

  • Work closely with claims adjusters and outside counsel to ensure cost-effective and appropriate litigation management strategies are in place that will lead to the best overall outcome.

  • Manage expenditures to budget / plan.

  • Drive continuous improvement through initiatives involving the employees, processes and technology.

  • Support the professional claims selection process to retain claims professionals that consistently demonstrate appropriate technical expertise, maturity and a professional commitment to excellence and customer service.


Core qualifications and requirements for this position include:

  • A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university is required.

  • Minimum 7-10 years Construction claims experience or general liability claims experience, preferably with 3 years in a Claims Supervisory capacity managing adjusters.

  • Ability to articulate the financial value of your work at multiple responsibility levels inside our business including Argo senior executives.
