Job Description

The HR/Staffing Coordinator is responsible for assisting with various human resources functions, specifically in recruitment, staffing, and administrative support. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, a high level of professionalism, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. The HR/Staffing Coordinator will collaborate with HR teams, department managers, and external candidates to ensure efficient staffing and personnel management. This is an on-site role that may be expected to work weekends, evenings, and overtime during peak hiring seasons.

Job Responsibilities

Recruitment and Staffing:

  • Assist in the recruitment process, including posting job openings, reviewing resumes, and scheduling interviews.
  • Coordinate and manage interview schedules for candidates and hiring managers.
  • Conduct initial phone screenings and background checks
  • Support the onboarding process for new employees, including preparing new hire paperwork, conducting orientations, and facilitating necessary training.

NPO Coordinating:

  • Builds relationships with community-based organizations
  • Coordinates all recruitment, vetting, and onboarding for non profit groups
  • Support Human Resources on event day with non-profit check in and operations
  • Training NPO groups on operations and compliance procedures

Employee Records and Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation and filing of employee documentation

HR Administration:

  • Provide general administrative support to the HR department, including scheduling meetings, handling HR-related inquiries, and preparing reports.
  • Assist in organizing employee engagement activities and events.

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Support the HR team in maintaining compliance with industry regulations, including tracking employee certifications and licenses as needed.
  • Prepare and assist in HR reporting and audits as required.

Employee Relations:

  • Act as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related issues, such as benefits, policies, and workplace concerns.
  • Help in resolving employee issues and concerns in a timely and effective manner.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience in HR, recruitment, or staffing coordination.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), HRIS systems, and applicant tracking software (ATS).
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
