As a Business Report Developer and Project Subject Matter Expert (SME) with Avendra, you will play a pivotal part in converting data into actionable insights and offering expert advice on project-specific issues. This position is primarily a business role with significant emphasis on technology, rather than an IT role. Your role will encompass designing, developing, and maintaining business reports that facilitate decision-making processes, while also serving as a key resource for project-related expertise. You must gain a comprehensive understanding of business processes and system functionality related to spend reporting, customer administration, item management, and allowance billing. This position involves extensive interaction with the Technology, Sourcing, and Finance groups, as well as other internal and external stakeholders. Strong analytical skills and a forward-thinking approach are essential to continually propose efficiency improvements.

Position Reports to: Director, Customers and Project Management

Job Responsibilities

Position Responsibilities:

  • Report Development:
    • Design and develop comprehensive business reports using various reporting tools and software.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into effective report designs.
    • Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all reports by performing thorough data validation and testing.
    • Continuously improve and optimize reporting processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Project Subject Matter Expertise:
    • Serve as the go-to expert for specific projects, providing in-depth knowledge and insights.
    • Collaborate with project teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
    • Offer guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle, from planning and execution to monitoring and evaluation.
    • Identify potential risks and opportunities within projects and propose solutions to address them.
  • Data Analysis and Interpretation:
    • Analyze complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform business decisions.
    • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
    • Develop dashboards and visualizations to effectively communicate data insights.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, finance, marketing, and operations, to ensure alignment and integration of reporting and project activities.
    • Provide training and support to team members on report usage and project-related topics.
    • Maintain open and effective communication channels with stakeholders to ensure their needs are met.

Work Environment: This job operates in an office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.
Physical Demands: This is largely a sedentary role with some light lifting of files possibly needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor?s degree in business, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in business report development and data analysis.
  • Strong expertise in project management and subject matter knowledge.
  • Extensive expertise in reporting tools and software, including SQL, Power BI, and Tableau.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Years of Relevant Experience: 3-5 years of experience
Education Requirements: BS/BA in a relevant field required

COMPENSATION: The hourly rate or salary range for this position is $85,000-$110,000. This is Aramark?s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.?
