Warranty Engineer
Summary:
Coordinate warranty-related customer activities with the customer and Aptiv stakeholders.
Deliver and report EDS warranty for ALL projects and supply regular updates to Aptiv Management and Customer, as required.
Responsibilities:
- Review warranty charge backs
- Create yearly warranty performance metric
- Coordinate customer Warranty returns analysis
- Monthly data preparations Targets vs. actual
- Participate customer warranty Meetings
- Coordinate internal warranty meetings
- Create and follow up Warranty action list
- Translate and categories customer warranty claims for internal use
- Prepare customer Warranty trends for Aptiv quality management
- Coordinate 8D reports/ 1-pager reports
- Collect and analyze customer repair data

Functions to perform:
- Prepare and provide structured and prioritized warranty data to the responsible department either internally and/or externally to the Customer after each warranty claims (weekly or monthly) cut-off date.
- Reading and understanding the customer claims based on dealership comments; analyzing the data; develop Pareto / Payntercharts for each project by CPU, R/1000; evaluate and monitor the introduction of the changes; and show the project improvement & warranty cost reduction
- Ensure contact to different information sources on customer side e.g. Customer Service Hotline; Warranty Parts Centre; FCSD Engineer's; warranty system database; Dealer visits; Campaign Prevention, etc.
- Participate and where appropriate take the lead of Customer warranty meetings: e.g. weekly warranty review; Vehicle Review meetings (if required);customer warranty review's; etc.
- Co-ordinate and conduct the necessary actions by using appropriate warranty tracking charts.
- Prepare warranty presentations for carline / engine subjects and present to the either internally and/or externally to the Customer.
- Ensure the Aptiv stakeholders are continuously and comprehensively updated on the level of quality of the process, as well as deviations and changes within area of activities.
- All measurements, implemented within the field of responsibilities, must comply with internal Aptiv guidelines and customer guidelines. Also, ensure that principles of economic efficiency as well as the aspects for improvement of quality and productivity are observed.
Requirements:
- 3-5 Years of Relevant Experience
- Bachelor's Degree
- World-class operational experience, automotive manufacturing industry is desired
- English 85%
