Summary:

Aptiv is seeking a Systems Engineer - Customer Support for its Advanced Safety and User Experience products. You will be building and working with a team of highly motivated individuals that work on various automotive technologies to enhance driver experience, prevent accidents, and save lives.

In this role, you will be part of a group of Customer Facing specialists in charge of support processes as defined by ASPICE; for example: SPL2. Product Release, SUP10 Change Request Management, SUP9 Problem Resolution Management, SUP8 Configuration Management

Be a process expert to ensure all ASPICE support process activities are executed in the proper way for all assigned programs

  • Support release manager in the execution of strategic plans for product releases, aligning them with business objectives, market requirements, and customer needs.
  • Collaborate with Release Manager to make decisions regarding product feature prioritization, scope changes, and release content in alignment with business goals and customer expectations.
  • Support Process Group (SUP.9) Problem Resolution Management as part of ASPICE Sys V-model
  • Responsible for 5D/8D, Fishbones, Is-Is Not, 3L5W, X-Domain Systemic Problems, Monitoring, and Closing tickets
  • Work closely with Engineering Program/Project Leads, System Leads, SW Program/Project/Product Owners, Manufacturing, HW teams, Customer Chief, and Customer(s) to drive all problem-related ticker to be closed in a timely manner
  • Work with team to ensure proper Design Documentation, Unit Test Case, Validation Test Case, D/PFMEA, Control Plan, other is updated once ticket is closed.
  • Stay connected with program team members to maintain deep understanding and progress of work, with sharp focus on planned release readiness
  • Ensure all deliverables and release documentation are created on time, with expected content and quality
  • Be the voice to the customer / stakeholder in terms of all release and testing relevant topics
  • Verify and Approve Test Reports
  • Perform SUP.8 Configuration Management activities for all assigned programs
  • Perform CMII Configuration and Change Management activities for all assigned programs (CR/CN Process)
  • Participate in training and coaching for Jr Product Release Engineers
  • Drive excellence by fostering the culture of pursuing perfection
  • Drive quality into the standard way of working

Must Haves (Basic Qualifications):

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline (computer science, software, system or related field of study)
  • 1 - 3 years of experience in Automotive Industry or Consumer Electronics
  • Strong ASPICE knowledge
  • Experience with SLP.2 Product Release Management
  • Experience with Problem Management, consultation, project management, escalation management and/or technical support experience
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Expert user for JIRA and Confluence
  • Bilingual - proficient in English speaking/reading/writing
  • Interpersonal skills, strong analytical skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and a positive approach to challenge
  • Cross functional interests, ambitious and self-driven. Adaptive, comfortable with ambiguity
  • Ability to effectively manage several projects at once
  • Strong soft skills: skilled networking creation, influencing skills, constantly learning, positive and ownership profile

Nice to Haves (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Experience with SUP.8 Configuration Management
  • Experience with CMII Change and Configuration Management (CR/CN process)
  • Experience with ITIL frameworks (Incident, Problem and Change primarily)
  • Experience with SW Quality Assurance principles
  • Master's degree in engineering discipline (computer science, software, systems, or related field of study)
  • Ability to work in complex, matrix organizations
  • Ability to work in an international, fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge and use of visualizations and metrics dashboards to convey key messages
