YOUR ROLE

As SMT Manager on our team, you will: Build on safety and quality policies to meet customer delivery needs in the quantity and time required, meeting inventory and cost objectives, adhering to the operating system, and ensuring flawless product launches through the training, development, and knowledge of its staff.

In your daily job you will:

• Schedule SMT production and monitor efficiency to ensure production dates are met.
• Review and recommend staffing and training levels.
• Work with production and engineering team members to define and implement the required equipment and resources.
• Optimize setup time and schedules to improve overall equipment efficiency.
• Review production and operation reports and resolve issues to avoid operational delays.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the SMT department.
• Understand, follow, and enforce procedures, including ISO 9001, IATF requirements, and IPC standards.
• Manage department resources and budget.
• Ability to mentor, coach, and monitor team performance and goals.
• Ensure SMT operates in a safe work environment and specify safe manufacturing practices.
• Lead and manage the production function to ensure all manufacturing activities are performed according to appropriate process specifications, quality plan requirements, and test process specifications.
• Ensure product quality standards are met and that production employees are trained and certified in the skills required to perform their role.
• Ensure hourly and daily production targets are met to meet on-time delivery requirements according to customer-requested dates.
• Maintain capacity (man/machine) to ensure capacity does not limit production while improving returns on capital equipment, investment goals, and direct labor productivity targets.
• Define key processes and monitor their performance with weekly or monthly key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement countermeasures when process performance falls below defined targets.

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related
• English level advanced
• 5 years of experience in areas SMT
• Experience in tools of LEAN
