Senior Software Engineer - Interior Sensing

We are enabling the transition to software-defined vehicles supported by electrified and intelligently connected architectures - which will combine to power the future of mobility. This role sits within Aptiv's new product organization, which will be at the forefront of transforming the auto industry with cutting-edge technology.
Position Summary
We are creating Interior Sensing software platform solution, that will be reused in multiple projects. It is a service-based, hardware and OS agnostic product, that combines image based Driver Monitoring and Cabin Monitoring functions. We are implementing framework, image processing and rule based features - in accordance to ASPICE and FuSa processes. Embedded implementation is done in C++, but we are utilising scripting languages for supporting functions. We are porting this product to (but not limited to): x86 Linux, ARM Linux, QNX, VxWorks.

Your Role:
- Collecting and analyzing SW requirements,
- Preparing SW design documentation and programming SW modules,
- Preparing and performing tests to verify SW work products.
- Create and document software design meeting requirements using UML
- Write robust and reusable high-level software code implementing interior sensing features
- Active participation in technical innovation and organization programs
- C++, and Python languages on a variety of target platforms including PCs and embedded SoCs
- Ensure software quality goals are met
- Work closely with counterparts across global team to overcome obstacles in meeting program deliverables on time with quality
- Be passionate about creating and understanding new technologies and inspire others to do the same
Your Background
- Experience in Embedded Linux or RTOS or Automotive SPICE
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (engineering, computer science, physics, or related field of study)
- 5+ years of experience writing software using C++
- Familiarity with Python
- 2+ years of experience working in an Agile development team
- Experience working with distributed software architectures
- Ability to speak, to read and to write English
