The Senior Program Manager leads a team of program managers dedicated to specific customers or Product line . This role is responsible for ensuring the successful execution of programs in alignment with Aptiv's processes and standards. The Senior Program Manager ensures that program management skills are effectively implemented, oversees process governance, and drives strategic planning to support the development of program management and program execution. Additionally, they identify and allocate the necessary resources to guarantee seamless product launches. This position is critical to achieving flawless execution of product launches, fully compliant with customer and Aptiv requirements and procedures.

Your role:

  • Provide Leadership to Program Management Function/Team and other appropriate associates to meet the respective program targets.
  • Promote Excellence and Customer Focus.
  • Participate in Flow 3 activities Assure that flow 3 assumptions are committed and achievable. Monitor and Control Execution of Project or Program in the respective Customer groups Prepare and perform Project Reviews.
  • Identify future Program Manager in cooperation with Director of PM.
  • Define and follow up PBP performance evaluation of Program Managers
  • Assure proper program execution and problem escalation for customer programs.
  • Support Program Managers and Project Teams.
  • Guide Program Managers to consistently develop and execute project plans that achieve the defined QVC's / Flawless Launch Metrics per program.
  • Provide Launch status.
  • Run Launch Readiness Review Meetings for the programs as appropriate.
  • Ensure Program Management System (PDP, KPM,) is implemented as required in all programs.
  • Ensure that PM Director is informed on progress towards achievements and identified barriers to progress. Participate in Staff Meetings and other appropriate meetings.

Your background:

  • Bachelor and/or Master(s) in Engineering, Business Studies, IT, Economics (EE, Electronics, Mech, Software) or similar
  • Years of Relevant Experience: 8< 10 yrs.
  • min. 10 years as PM in automotive
  • Advanced MS Office skills, especially Excel and Powerpoint
  • Languages mandatory English and depending on customers other will be require (German, French, Italian, others)
  • Willingness to travel if required
