Connection Systems Product Portfolio - critical components which are highly engineered to meet "automotive grade" requirements:
Traditional Interconnects: LV connectors, Terminals, Mechatronics packaging (MePa), Pin Headers
High Voltage: HV connectors and inlets
Specialty Products: High-speed cable assemblies, safety restraint/airbag connectors, pm-glass connectors
Consumer connectivity: Media modules, Wireless device chargers
Electrical centers: Hard wired electrical centers, prompted circuit board (PCB) electrical centers, solid state electrical centers
POSITION SUMMARY:
To support the CS Global Product Development teams (China) in product design and development.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES TO BE ACCOMPLISHED:
- Responsible for product design and development in Low voltage automotive connector segment.
- Responsible for project planning and executions.
- To ensure the project quality as per the standards
- To meet the delivery deadlines.
EDUCATION (Qualifications obtained in the course of formal education and/or training) - Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering stream.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Minimum 4 to 8 years of experience in the Connector / Automotive / Complex plastic / sheet metal Product Design and Development.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
- Good knowledge in product concept development / end to end product development in LV Connector, Terminal and seal.
- Good skills in product design using NX / SolidWorks / VGM software.
- Good skills in detailed plastic and minimum thickness Sheetmetal component design and design calculations, tolerance stack up, Benchmark study, product validation.
- Good skills in LV connector validation standard LV214, USCAR, GM3191 & IEC 60664.
- Good knowledge in materials and material selection (plastics and sheet metal).
- Understanding/interpretation of Simulation (Mechanical, Thermal, Light, Moldflow, Electrical) analysis results.
- Leads Design Review/Project Review under supervision
- Cooperation with internal & external cross functional team and willing to travel as required.
- Good knowledge in DFM & DFA
- Understanding of DRBFM and DFMEA
- Judgement skills to evaluate concepts and design verification results
- Good knowledge in GD&T and creation of production drawings
- Good knowledge in stamping and injection molding processes.
