SHAPE THE FUTURE OF MOBILITY FROM DAY ONE

This position is part of our Advanced Safety & User Experience segment.

SUMMARY:

As a Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst at Aptiv's Troy Technical Center in the Advanced Safety & User Experience Segment, you will play a critical role in ensuring the financial success of the North American regional business unit.

RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assist in the development of our annual budget business plan and monthly forecast updates.
  • Understand key performance indicators and provide monthly variance analyses: Track and interpret key financial performance metrics, providing meaningful business insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Manage the financial commitments for specified projects: Take ownership of the actions necessary to deliver on initiatives and ensure they are brought to closure.
  • Support customer teams on program profitability: Monitor and analyze the profitability of customer accounts and identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Assist regional controllers with operational finance matters: Understand key changes impacting manufacturing plants and work with central accounting team to accurately record and forecast.
  • Support ad hoc financial reporting and analysis: Respond to requests as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong analytical capabilities and exceptional financial modeling and analysis skills: Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis is essential to excel in this role.
  • Strong MS Excel skills required: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential for data analysis and financial modeling.
  • Strong understanding of the Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Cash Flow Statement: Thorough knowledge of financial statements is critical for effective financial planning.
  • Demonstrated leadership, teamwork, and communication skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills are necessary to collaborate with cross-functional teams effectively.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced / dynamic work environment and think outside of the box: Adaptability and creative problem-solving are key attributes for success.
  • Bachelor's degree with concentration in accounting, finance or economics.
